It really is all those things. Super quality product at a good price. Pads are superb as well. The velcro is VERY strong. The trigger, speed adjustment, and overall ergonomics is the best I have ever used. I have an old Bosch rotary buffer if anyone is interested.

Heavy duty; seems built to last a lifetime; nice variable speed; best backplate diameter for most situations. Cheaper than top brand names (Rupes; Flex), but just as good. May also need a smaller 3-inch backplate for difficult curves, as seen in modern car bodies. Don't bother buying their cute little expensive bottles of Adams rubbing and polishing compounds, however, unless you have money to blow and your polishing needs are specialized. For the vast majority of vehicles, it would be more economical and just as effective to use any rubbing compound, sold at your local auto-supply retailer. Contrary to what Adams marketing would have you believe; cheaper brands of compounds work equally well because they are all the same.

I got this on sale for $166 and for that price I am very happy with it. I have been using machine polishers for years and this is my 5th machine adding to my arsenal of 2 rotary polishers and 2 Dual Action (or random orbital) polishers.my only wish for this unit is that it had maybe 5 to 10% more power but that being said it is not inadequate. The machine has a great length for cord, has a good stroke for most correction work, and reasonably low vibration making it very easy to use. If you've never owned a polisher I'd say this is a great machine to start with. Are there better DA polishers out there? Absolutely yes. But these other machines are double the price with maybe 10 to 15% more performance. If money is no object buy one of these Italian polishers but if you want a great bang for the buck machine, this is it.

My 99 C5 has lived outdoors its entire life and been my daily driver for eleven years in CT. Ice, snow, heat, bad parkers, getting bumped. You name it. Paired with some good swirl remover, polish and ceramic I was able to remove a TON of the shallow marks in the clear coat. Some dated before I bought the car. It can never be perfect, but this orbital got it back to where it looks good enough to show.

I used to have Griots 6" polisher and kind of took a chance on Adam's, so glad I did and should have bought this polisher first. I only detail my own cars, so whenever I apply new type of sealant or coating I make sure I clean the surface by polishing. I almost regret not buying the 21mm orbit polisher, because this one is soo good. It makes less noise than Griots 6" DA and significantly less vibration. I use MF pads for cutting and foam pads for polishing; when using foam pads with this polisher the vibration is virtually non-existent. The only con is that it does stall pretty easy on body lines, but it is something you can learn to work around. My next purchase will definitely be the 3" DA swirl killer.

I bought this buffer after I realized the Griot 6 inch buffer just wasn't going to get the job done. The Griot buffer is a quality product, but it's length is too short to do truck hoods and roofs. This Adams buffer is long enough to get those jobs done easily and quickly. It also has a nice trigger switch for on-off.

I bought this as my first DA and had really good results results it. Good ergonomics and super easy to use. My only complaint is that it does have a good amount of feedback.
