Very user friendly and easy to manipulate, would recommend.
I use this product to groom my dog's nails and it worked very well for he usually will not let anybody touch his feet but these nail clippers are so efficient it made the chore quick and easy, yes we were done before he knew what was going on.

Great product!
I was hesitant to attempt to trim my own dogs toe nails based on the production it was getting them done at the vet and having to pay $15 for it -__- So I figured if I only used this a couple times it would already pay itself off. It was actually much easier to use this tool and trim my dogs nails at home because he is much more comfortable here. I just laid him on his back between my legs on the floor so he would be relaxed (like he sleeps) and this nail trimmers took care of then rest. They are so sharp that the dog doesn't even know his nails are being trimmed. Goes right through like butter! Just make sure to be careful and only trim the part of the dogs nails that are very clear and don't have a visible blood line to them. I do recommend having a file on hand to knock down the sharp edges of the dogs nails after using this trimmer. That is the only disadvantage to this type over the grinder type (I am assuming, but haven't tried). Overall, well worth the money as long as you can get your dog to relax and stay still for the trim session! The loop feature to keep the dogs nails steady in place while cutting is great! Highly recommend.

Nice trimmers
I ordered these because I thought that since I was having problems with my little dogs nails that a larger pair might be the answer. I was wrong on two accounts... first, the blades are too big for her nails and I couldn't really get them in the areas that needed to be cut very well... that's my fault, I should have purchased a smaller nail trimmer, but the other issue I had was once I was able to get a nail in place to be trimmed that the trimmer would close but then not want to reopen. this alarmed the dog and unfortunately I was unable to finish the process. I had no issues with any of the other dogs' nails however and for them these are wonderful. These trimmers are easy to use and if you have a lot of clearance they are great. I would suggest they be used on dogs that are bigger than 15 lbs. They didn't cause any hand cramps when used to trim all 3 dogs and in 2 of the 3 trims they were really quite nice. The good... the size of the trimmers, they are great to work with for extended times. The sharpness of the blade. it cut through the nail first time, every time. I am pleased in that respect. There was no half cut nails that had to be re-trimmed. The handles are quite well padded, once again aiding to its comfort. The bad... not very good for small dogs, so not as versatile as I would expect. On the smaller nails I was able to cut they trimmer wanted to jam with the nail sliver in it, which was kind of a pain and would make the dog back off. It was harder to get into the areas that need to be cut with these trimmers and a very small dog.All in all... I would not recommend these for dogs under 15 lbs. However, for a larger dog they are great.

Works great for my Rott
Originally found these nail clippers at pet sense and they worked great on my 7 year old Rottweiler. We have been through many different nail clippers, all were either poor quality or too expensive. My boy won’t let anyone else cut his nails except for me, so I needed something tough enough for his big nails. We used that pair for about 2-3 years. They recently became too dull to cut and needed to replace. I’m so glad to find Amazon had these for half of what we paid at Pet sense. $10!? Can’t beat that. The guillotine style is perfect for the exact cut every time. Big dog or small dog, this is all you need.

Didnt seem to be very sharp and well built
Didnt cut my dogs toenails very cleanly and seemed a bit loosely puttogether. Will try another brand next time.

Cut like cr*p!
Really wanted to like these nail clippers, but not the case. Received them today - and now I’m online getting ready to order a different brand! Good points: little small, but able to hold comfortably in my hand, and the grips were adequate. Bad points: they cut like cr*p! On every single nail I clipped on my dog, the blade “stuck” and wouldn’t retract. Also, the site states for use on large dogs - um, I could barely use them on my St. Bernard because the nail hole opening is so small! I’ve worked for over 5 different vets and have trimmed dogs (and cats) nails many times - save your money and buy a better pair of nail clippers because these certainly aren’t worth it.
