Solid framework & support; thin foam pad is inadequate for comfort.
I purchased this because I have no downstairs bedrooms, and my dog has a degenerative nerve disease and can no longer climb the stairs. At the time I purchased it, there was a choice between the more narrow “single”, and a twin size. I chose the more narrow, because I did not want to take it down every day, and for me, there is enough difference in the size to make it easier to move around it, (or move it around), when not in use. The size is NOT an issue at all, but I think if I bought another now, I would go ahead and purchase the twin size. The reviewer who said a bar made it uncomfortable must have gotten the item being reviewed mixed up. There are legs on each end, and a support in the middle; however, the middle support does not go high enough for it to be felt when lying on it - unless the person far exceeds the weight limit for the bed. The bed has something very much like trampoline material as the base, held by very strong springs. The support is very firm and even. It is a bit awkward to handle, but NOT AT ALL difficult. The support/legs on each end lock in place. It folds up very nicely, and has a strap with a hook to hold it closed. There is no other way to fold and store it but to remove the mattress from the top and put it inside the bottom as you fold it up. (It folds up for storage with the legs inside, which means the bottom of the bed is inside the folded up piece, and you have to remove the mattress and switch it to the underside as you fold it up. It’s not a problem, but it is a little awkward - definitely NOT a drawback.) I gave the bed a 4 star because I ended up happy with it overall, especially for the price. But the 4 star is higher than any of my categories. I gave it a 3 for comfort, as it comes. I gave it a 1 for thickness, which is generous. It might be fine for a younger person, but my middle-aged+ bones ached on it, and I found myself having to reposition often. The foam pad is not anywhere near 3 inches. Mine is about 1”, and it’s sloped at one end, so even less there. It indicates memory foam, with the handprint - mine doesn’t NOT do that. I have a tempurpedic mattress on my real bed, so I am very familiar with memory foam. I do not believe the pad on this fold up bed to be even a cheap memory foam, but if it is, it is not worthy of the name. The memory foam in my Keds shoes is better. I ended up ordering a fold up memory foam mattress that came in the more narrow “single” size. It was described as 4”, and it *IS* 4 inches. It has made all the difference in the world. I doubled the price of what it cost me to be able to sleep downstairs, but I now have a very comfortable bed. I raised the overall rating to 4, because the support is excellent. The frame and springs and trampoline-like material are very well made. Only the pad that came with it is a negative. By adding the memory foam mattress instead of the pad it came with, I could sleep on it indefinitely. I recommend this item, with the caveat that unless you are very tough, you are not likely to be comfortable sleeping on it more than a night or two without additional padding. If you do not mind buying a better “mattress”, it is probably more comfortable than just the portable mattress on the floor. I don’t vacuum every day, and I do not want to fold it up every morning and I fold it every night, so I like the mattress up off the floor. My dog that is younger and healthy is on it every time I turn around. THAT’s why I would get the full sized twin if I was buying it now. He wants to share it when I am in it, too. Probably thinks it is his...

Decent buy for the price.
I purchased this mainly for my grandchildren to use on sleep-overs. Serves the purpose well. Actually, my wife slept on it one night to try it out, said it was fairly comfortable. Don't know how comfortable it would be for a 275-300 lb person as the ad touts. But like I said, it serves the purpose that I purchased it for. Only thing I don't like about it, is it doesn't have wheels on it, which makes it a little tough to move around.

NOT firm, EXPENSIVE to return, you get what you get
The item appears as in the "photo" on amazon, but does not provide the firm support as advertised. My backyard trampoline had more support. The canvas tarp under the mattress stretched out after a single use of an average sized adult of 170 lbs. Now it acts more like a tiny hammock than a trampoline. RETURNS are a non-option, shipping is to be paid by buyer and is just under a $100. I am cutting my losses at the first $200 and three nights of crappy sleep.

It worked splendidly for what I bought it for.
Cute, east fold up bed for guest staying a night or two, wouldn't recommend it if you looking for a long stayover. Great for little ones.

Move on.....
Not big enough except for camping or a child. Mattress was so flat. Frame was sturdy though. I returned the whole thing.
