I know for new buyers it could be very hard to set, but trust me, once you know how it works you'll do it in seconds like me. To do this: 1- Plug in the adapter and turn the switch on (that's it) 2- hold the moon like you are holding water with your bare hands (hands below the moon). 3- Make sure the magnet in the center between your hands (which is bottom and it's darker than the rest of the moon). 4- make space between your hands so the magnet are not covered by your hands. 5- get the moon above the center of the base around 5cm (make sure the base is turned on) . 6- once you feel the moon is supporting it self on the base then slowly remove your hands and that's it! 7- CONGRATULATION! you have a beautiful floating moon! I hope this will work with you.

It really is a well-designed and pretty gadget. It's not really functional, the light from the bulb is pretty weak, but oh boy is it beautiful, and a conversation piece. It can be hard to seat the bulb properly, the magnets are strong in all directions and takes a bit of practice, but once in place it's majestic.

Truly a center piece, attracting the attention of our visitors. Only comment I have is, that it is very small and the listing picture does not so it justice. We bought about 3 mini plants (one after another) and finally the smallest Cactus fitted. But it's a very very small cactus.

It’s a little difficult to line up perfectly to get this thing levitating but once you’ve cracked it, it’s mesmerizing. It was a gift for my boyfriend who loves all things cosmological. I would love an earth version.

Everything works and looks good; however, I thought the green plant is included. I got an empty pot and I didn't read any declaimer that says it's not included.

It works perfectly and looks amazing

Product came with no instructions, but fairly intuitive to use. Once powered on, use your hands to cradle the moon. This will take some finagling since moon base will be drawn to magnets. From stop, moon likes to spin to the right (6 seconds / rotation). But can spin or be made to spin to left (12 sec / rot). Light has 3 cycled modes. If 1 mode is preferred, just cycle power switch 5 times on turning off. Fairly bright. Too bright to serve as a night light. Left on during day and has enough light to go to bed to. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: Added video of floating of moon. The first time you float the moon, you should do it at a kitchen table, where you can sit and rest elbows on the table. You have to position the moon at the right height in the center and wait for the magnetic field of the base to align with the magnetic field of the moon and use lower fingers to keep base stationary. At 6 seconds / rotation, this is 10 seconds minimum. Miss it and you have another 10 seconds. So be patient. It can be a bit of a fight as the moon will be attracted to the four magnets at the corners of the base. You can see that at the start of the video. In the video, I float the moon fairly easily. 18 months ownership, with 6 power outages and 6 hitting or moving bed to rough. I've had practise. I have given up after not being able to float moon, but I am usually successful in 20-25s. So be patient.
