Worth every cent!
The Soul of Chogokin Voltron is, without a doubt, the most wonderful version of Voltron that has ever been released. I debated on various versions of Voltron, but I decided on this because I had bought SoC before, and I knew that their engineering and quality was legendary. The first, most impressive thing about this figure, is it's weight. This is a very solid figure. Most of the weight is based on the legs and torso, giving it a very stable, low center of gravity. The poseability is good, better than most Voltron figures, but not mind-blowing in its own right. The only possible complaint I could have about this figure, and it's really a stretch, is that there are hollows in the back of the thighs, for lion poseability, and I feel like some option could have been included to help hide that. But, it's extremely minor, because like most people, I display my figures facing out, and don't see their backs very much. The individual lions are impressive. These are easily some of the best lions we've gotten. Each one has good articulation in the body and shoulder to give them a more natural, catlike stance, and each one comes with weapons that can attach onto the shoulders, making a nice looking, fully armed team. The weapons and accessories store in a display stand, the kind the SoC line is famous for.All in all, this figure is easily worth the $300 I paid for it. I took it to a friend's house to let him see it, and within minutes he had committed to buying his own. This is an extremely impressive figure.

Outstanding!
This really is the best Voltron toy ever made. Calling this collectible piece of art a toy seems kind of ridiculous, but it was designed to mess around and play with. This thing is built like a tank. The die-cast is plentiful and placed in strategic locations so that the combined figure can maintain perfect balance at all times. The joints are also made of die-cast and have no trouble at all holding the arms and legs in any pose you can manage to put him in.This is also the first Voltron release where the individual lions were not just designed as Voltron's limbs. Each lion functions as a fully pose-able action figure on it's own, complete with ab joints, ball jointed necks, and fully articulated legs with butterfly joints to allow for natural looking feline stances and poses.300 plus dollars (and steadily rising it seems) sounds like a crazy amount of money to spend on something like this, but you quickly realize that it is worth every penny once you have it in hand. I collect Masterpiece type figures from various toy lines and companies, and the quality of the paint, materials, chrome, and design of this Voltron is unmatched. Bandai's Soul of Chogokin line is known for quality, and this Voltron is at the top.If you have any serious interest, I'd say buy now or regret later. It hasn't been mentioned if there will be another release, and the prices are on the rise.

Solid articulation capabilities!
I really wanted this voltron version of the origional toy from the 80's. I had the origional as a kid and was always looking for the right new version. This unit is pretty darn close. the articulation in the apendages for each lion is impressive. the entire robot, lions and accessiries can be positioned in countless poses and formations which makes the toy even more fun to set up periodically in new positions for display. Everything i would say is high quality but for the price I paid (close to $400.00 USD, would would expect the plastic on the lions to be painted like the face and some of the other parts of the unit. with that said, the plastic workmanship is acceptable and i really like the toy. I would buy it again. I know they are coming out with an even better version that includes the voltorn team that can fit inside each lion. price tag on that one is about double and looks like a waiting list for it already. All in all statisfied and would reccomend to other die hard Voltron fans!

Absolutely amazing. This is a true work of toy design ...
Absolutely amazing. This is a true work of toy design art. The level of intricate detail and functionality are some of the best I've ever seen. Bandai Japan took an '80s iconic toy and perfected it for the modern collector. Posted lots of images of how much fun I had opening and assembling this treasure.IMHO when you consider the cost of most high end toy collectibles such as HOT TOYS 12" figures average $230 currently, an imported 12" transforming die-cast (HEAVY!) robot with this much detail and versatility that additionally hits all the right nostalgia touch points, is completely fairly priced around $300. Even its instruction booklet serves as a bit of an artbook featuring Voltron's original '80s TV show designs.Amazon shipped my package securely. Love the fact that we get a bonus slip cover over our boxes that feature American text version of this imported product. Highest possible recommendation for any toy collector.
