Stetson Mens Royal Deluxe Open Road

One result of my adventure with Melanoma skin cancer is the need to wear a wide-brimmed hat whenever I’m in the sun. My father, Joe, was from Texas and wore Stetson hats, which he believed were the finest made, so following his example, I decided to pony up and invest in one.As a fan of history, I opted to purchase the same silverbelly Stetson “Open Road” model that was worn by Lyndon Johnson, Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, Winston Churchill, Hank Williams, and Jackie Gleason when he portrayed Sheriff Buford T. Justice.Stetson “Open Road” hats are handmade in the USA with beaver and rabbit fur, and the company says they are touched by roughly 100 hands from the beginning of the manufacturing process to the end.My size 7-5/8 hat recently arrived, and it is just as awesome as I’d hoped. I look forward to carrying on Dad’s legacy and wearing this Stetson for many years to come.
