Best handsaw I have ever used
I bought this second one as a gift to my son because I like mine so much. Like a backsaw in operation but very thin kerf and cuts as least as quickly as a regular crosscut with less effort. I am able to crosscut much more accurate 90 degrees on 2x4s with this than a regular crosscut. Prefer it to circular saw because it is relaxing, light, and set up is much easier for me. Cuts are very smooth, requiring much less sanding. The blade is very thin, but kept edge well and strong if used properly. (Pull stroke, don't force) Think razor blade. I loved my old Disstons but they got dull and I kept putting off sharpening them. Now I won't have to.

Great saw, great price!
This saw is very sharp. It’s easy to control and comes at a very reasonable price.

TLDR: just buy the darn saw already
Summary: if you hold a mirror up near your mouth and it fogs up - then buy this. If you think you might ever have to cut something in the next decade or two, or even if you don’t think you will (you will) - buy this. You’ll be trying to figure out how to make that small cut on that weird object, you’ll remember you have this saw, you’ll think to yourself “man I’m so glad I listened to that random Amazon review,” then you open up the Amazon app, find the product listing, scroll down, find this random review, let out a small singular laugh to yourself, and then you up-vote the review.Actual review: This is one of the products I had to go back and review just because it was so great. I bought this 3.5 years ago and have used it very heavily, and it still cuts like the day I got it.Works great on any wood, and any plastics I’ve come across (PVC, Nylon, PTFE, even PEEK and PVDF). Even cut rubber with it (though would not be my recommended method). It’s great for just about any fine cutting I need. Admittedly I use machinery (miter saw, table saw, router, etc) for most cuts, so I figured I wouldn’t use this much. I was wrong. I use it all the time, particularly for unusual shaped cuts.It leaves an ultra-fine finish and is very easy to cut straight and square. Could not ask for a better saw for only ~$30.

Good Saw
This saw doesn't flex at all while I saw with it and has a very narrow kerf.

Good Saw
Use it for cutting dovetails. Sharp with a thin kerf. No problems cutting through kiln dried white oak.

Cuts easily and smoothly
This is my second Japanese saw, both Suizans. I wanted a saw that could cut strraight and accurate dovetails, as well as smooth crosscuts on smaller pieces of wood. I have not cut dovetails yet, but I have used it several times to cut wood down to size. It is so easy to use. Let the saw do most of the work and it will cut straight. And the edges of the cut pieces are so smooth they feel like they'd been sanded. Don't forget that it cuts as you pull, not push, like American saws. It's easily enough learned with just a bit of practice.

Works well
This is my first Japanese saw and I use it for making joints (mostly dovetail). I like it a lot. It makes precise and very narrow cuts. Its size is also good.I bought this a few weeks ago, so I don't know how sturdy it is, but all is good so far.

Awesome tool
The rigidity of the blade makes it terrific for accurate cuts. That and the pull saw teeth make for a great experience when cutting fine lines.

BUENA SIERRA
Corte preciso y fino, sobre todo para artesanía. El mango vino un poco astillado pero la hoja es de muy buena calidad.

SUCH a good saw
Makes jointing a lot simpler - the blade itself is so thin, it makes cutting snug joints so much easier.

Well made superb cut
Highly satisfying in use and lovely tight curf so cuts beautifully. The hand blade protection cover is well designed to and won't fall off in your portable tool cabinet.
