You will need a DC converter to convert the 48V to 12v. Do not wire it to 2 batteries 16v in series as some will suggest. It will drain those 2 batteries faster than the other 4 in your series of batteries and probably burn up the audio system.

Q: How big is the “head Unit”?

Pretty small. Maybe 2” tall by 4” long. Smaller than my iPhone pro by a good amount
