Replacement Suunto Ambit Watch Band Strap – Premium Watchband for Suunto Ambit 3 Peak, 3 Sport, 3 Run, 2R, 2S, 2, and 1 – Screwdriver Included

I am fairly certain this is the first review that I have ever written, and I do so because I feel compelled to. I have had my Suunto Ambit 1 for a very long time, and put more miles on it than I can honestly comprehend. A couple weeks ago, the retainer loop (for the extra band) broke and then within a couple weeks, the strap itself began tearing at the position the buckle sits on the opposing strap. So I really needed to replace it. I looked around for a bit, because it seemed difficult finding a band for the Series 1 Ambit. This band had good reviews and was priced reasonably, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I have to say that my initial impressions of the band were astounding! I couldn't believe how soft it felt, especially being plastic. It was very easy and straight forward to install and I 'really' appreciate the fact that it came with the tool needed for the job. I have now had this band on for a week or so, and I must say that it is really incredible. I enjoy it so much more than the original band. The comfort is top notch and the fit is perfect. The buckle positions happen to be better suited for my wrist, so it fits really, really well. I highly recommend!

Replacement works and fits my Suunto watch well. The strap material is about as comfortable as the original material. Very helpful to have the screwdriver included in the kit. Note that replacement screws are not included; I reinstalled my original screws and they worked fine. Nice product, as advertised.

This fits my Suunto Ambit 2. It is a very tight fit to install. This band is ok, but not as soft as the original Suunto version. I'll see how it holds up over time.

I bought this to replace the band on my 1st gen Suunto Ambit. I am happy with my purchase. If I could give a half star I would give it 4.5 stars. I've used it now for over two weeks and it feels durable and comfortable. It is a bit thinner than the original and the material seems slightly more flexible. I love the 2nd band retention loop. The included torx screwdriver is a nice touch as well. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the fit is not 100% matched to my old watch. There is a tiny hardly noticeable gap around the GPS antenna. I get the feeling that is because there were subtle changes to the shape between the Ambit 1, 2 and 3 models. When I first put it on I was worried. But it has held up and functioned well. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

So far so good! I have only had the band on the watch for 1 week. After going through 3 of the Suunto brand replacements, i decided to try something new. The material seems to be of higher quality, so i have high hopes. I don't think this is a down side, but the strap that goes around the GPS sensor fits a bit snug, minimal concern that the added stress may cause the strap to tear over time. If you are looking to get away from the Suunto replacement, this is the one!

I echo some of the comments already made. The original band on my Suunto Ambit2 Sapphire felt apart right on schedule. First the watch band straps broke and I promptly replaced them. Then just a couple of weeks later the watch band itself broke (I could have saved money by just replacing the original band right away). This replacement band was easy to install. It is softer and fits much better than the original. For now I am very happy with it. My hope is that the replacement band will have a longer life than the Suunto original. Only time will tell.

I have looking for a good replacement for the watch strap on my Suunto Ambit 2. It has lasted rugged use over the last 3 years. The Octane Band is much better than the strap that came with the watch. I like the size adjustment better on this strap and the double retainers. The strap was very easy to install and the included torque driver made this purchase very easy.
