Q: If I purchase a can of Reese quartered artichoke hearts will they have any outer layers to discard because they are tough?

Not really. Every once in a while you may come across a can that's got some tough ones. But we never sort through them before we cook them because they're good for the most part.

Q: No consistancy here, China, Peru, Egypt, just where are the current cans from?

My order, which I received six months ago is from Peru.

Q: Why is the sodium so high?

To those who have already answered, salt is not the preservative in this product, citric acid is; to djjnyc, he/she is asking the manufacturer. if you look in these response strings for this product and most others, the manufacturers sometimes respond when they have a legitimate answer and can save face by responding. If you back them into a corner with the likely presence of concealed and/or unhealthy ingredient, like glyphosate por ejemplo, they will often not respond.

Q: Why do reviews refer to quartered artichoke hearts when this product says it contains artichoke bottoms, which are not the same as hearts

It appears that Amazon has the same set of reviews and questions attached to both the artichoke bottoms (ASIN: B000FDB3VW) and artichoke quartered hearts (ASIN: B000SR600O)
