A New History of Animation

This is a great book covering almost every aspect of animation history. The author does a great job of introducing a lot of different artists, events and facts about the history of animation. Well researched and well organized. There certainly is more room for detail and depth with a lot of what she covers.My biggest disappointment with the book is the poor editing. There are clear typos, grammatical errors and some of the sentences need to be better written. Especially since this book, i'm sure, in many cases is used as an educational resource for both teachers and students. Maybe a revised, updated edition is in need.

Perfect for a class I’m teaching.

Definitely a must have for any animation student and even professional. Has great references to timeless techniques and history that all animators should know, and at a very reasonable price.

A fun and easy to read history of Animation, goes in depth. Very Educational if you're wanting to learn more about the beginnings of animation.
