Ivor Novello -- Song Album: Piano/Vocal/Guitar (Faber Edition)

Thanks to "Gosford Park" many people became aware of Ivor Novello who produced some of the loveliest songs in the early 20th century. He, like his contemporary, Noel Coward, wrote many musical comedies and also appeared in Hollywood films. His waltzes are romantic and haunting yet uplifting. Intelligent, lovely music with excellent piano arrangements. I'm enjoying it immensely.

Lovely songs to play and sing. I wish I could play the piano better (also long for longer fingers to play all the notes).

I love this music book. Novello wrote great songs. Heard them sung recently in Cardiff, Wales.

What a wonderful little book. I wanted something easy going in this difficult time and these really allow you to sing with fluidity.The music is well type set and clear to read.

Arrived in pristine condition. Great selection of Novell's classics. Lovely arrangements and fairly straightforward to play/learn/sight read. Definitely recommend if you're a Novello fan!

This album contains a good selection of Novello's best-known songs with a piano accompaniment which is not very difficult. Sheet music often seems expensive and the reproduction can be of relatively poor quality. In this album the reproduction is quite good, it contains quite a lot of songs and represents good value.

Larger print would be better, but good selection of songs

I bought this for just one song as I was unable to find a copy of 'Love is my Reason' so a unable to comment on the others but, all his music is great anyway.
