Quicksilver Spray Paint for Mercury Engines

Great clear coat. Used this on Outboard cowling and lower unit. Water beads off. However, when left in salt air, the salt builds up extensively on this. Don't wipe the salt or will take off clear coat and paint underneath. Rinse off salt, and all is well.

Fantastic product. Goes on smooth and brilliantly glosses the paint. Only improvement I would like to see is the spray nozzle. I encountered occasional leak problems which were frustrating.

Guess I should have paid more attention to to dull flat finish on the cap. I actually wanted the High Gloss Black which is "Quicksilver 802878Q1 Phantom Black - Gloss Enamel Spray Paint" which is also listed. Notice the difference in cap, Shiney vs Flat. It is still great paint and will use on another project.

2 cans used and I find this paint difficult to use. I think its more the spray tip than the paint itself. It is difficult to control how the paint lays down...it seems to spurt and be uninformed as its applied to the surface. I wasn't able to get a even finish. The paint is self is a decent match for older Mariner outboards and I was impressed with how fast it dried. Improve the nozzle to a fan type spray and I think it would be a wonderful product.
