Q: Can I use it for smoothies ?

You should be able to use this in smoothies.

Q: Why does this have a P65 warning? I just received it and saw a small sticker in the bottom back of the package with the warning.

We sincerely apologize for any discontent that the Prop 65 label may have caused. Due to Prop 65 regulations, we are required to put a sticker on the label that says that lead can cause birth defects or other reproductive harm on any products that have a certain (albeit very small amount) of lead in them. Our Whole Husk Psyllium contains naturally-occurring lead that is found in low amounts in some of the whole foods we use in the product. Lead is naturally present in soil, and as such it can accumulate in certain plants. Dr. Mercola is aware of this, but feels that the benefits that can be gained from taking our Whole Husk Psyllium far outweigh any risk associated with the minute amounts of lead in the product. Additionally, if we were to process our product any differently to remove these trace amounts of lead we would also remove any health benefits as it would destroy the nutrient content of this product.

Q: Has this been heat treated? How are the husks removed from the seed?

Dr. Mercola Whole Husk Psyllium is steam treated.
