each function is an additional purchase, not made clear in the product description
I could not get it to read the VIN on my car, and I could not find Jaguar / LandRover in the list of manufacturers. Tech support advised me to change from the ThinkCar Pro app to ThinkDiag+ app, which still would not read the VIN, but when I keyed it in manually, it recognised it as Jaguar. However, I cannot get the Jaguar database to load so I don't know how useful and accurate the scanner is. Tech support tolld me to try again on stable inteernet, but I have already tried on two different broadband ISPs, three different wireless access points, two different mobile services, and via a mobile hotspot on a third mobile service. There is no evidence to suggest instability in any of these services, never mind on all of them.

Worked well
Had An issue with set up but then sort of worked it out. It gave really good info and with my issue I emailed supplier, they came back within a day, but had sorted it by then. You have to purchase add on’s, but I only needs the diagnostic part. It is a good bit of kit to have as before going to garage or main dealer it will let you know of any fault codes. Might save a bit by having a clue of faults. The read diagnostic set up is not that easy, but eventually you should be able to work it out and I feel the supplier is in the background to help out. Also, if you are going to buy a car, take it with you and plug it in to get an overview of any issues on diagnostics. That could save a headache later on.

Not worth the money!!!
I decide to spend an extra £££ (compering to cheap OBD dongles ) after reading about this device. That was the biggest mistake! I`m completely disappointed with the device and also the quality of their customer service. The TMPS reset function (extra paid) is not working in MINI`s. After contacting the support I have been told that my car "is not supported". Shame they forgot to mention this in the first place before anybody will spend an extra £££!Oh and buy yourself some extension cable straight away because of the size of the dongle it will not fit OBD port

Excellent Code Reader
If you are fine with basic computer software, you’ll find this easy to use. I installed the app on my iPhone before the item arrived, so I had an idea what to do. Plugged in the unit, logged into the app and off the reader went. It automatically reads your car details, then offers auto- scan. The software had the error code/codes in seconds, in my case a brake pedal switch error. Ran the scan again just to make sure, same error code. This little device saved me a possible expensive visit to the local dealership. My local garage ordered the switch, and had it fitted in no time.Highly recommended. In America, the local auto-part shops will scan your car for free, all part of the service - we get ripped off in UK.

Potentially ok spoilt by need forwifi
Nice hardware, ruined by the need for a WiFi connection. So useless in a remote place . And therefore doesn't work with a tablet for that reason.also I checked with makers website for our cars compatibility, was listed Ok but not actually supported. So only basic ODB2 and no better than a £20 unit for us.
