Deluxe Chess & Backgammon Table by Trademark Games, Brown/White/Tan, 27x18.125x18.125

There was a lot of trepidation when I ordered this chess table because of all the reviews but this was the only 18"x18 chess table (with a 15"x15" chess board) on the Amazon Market so I figure that if it is broken I can always send it back. First thing I checked was the center pole and the 3 legs and they were perfect. Everything in my package was perfect and beautifully crafted with no blemishes at all. All 100% perfect. After slotting the 3 feet into the center column and tightening the cap then screwing the whole column into the table top, everything fitted together perfectly. My DGT Centaur computer chess board is only 16"x17.5" and it sits on top like it was almost made for it. If there are more available I highly recommend taking a chance on buying this chess table. You will either be lucky on the first buy or on subsequent buys and it is all worth it. By the way the chess pieces that does come with it are not worth it but get the Staunton #5 set with a 3.5" King or the marble 16"-20" chess pieces. The interior of the table is really shallow but it should fit the Staunton #5 set without problems.

not a bad purchase , but one pawn was missing from the chess set, however a replacement was sent straight away , which was good news , so I am satisfied with my purchase

It's a great little table. A lot of people complained that it came late, came broken in pieces, they got a used piece, but it was not a case with me. Brand new, not a scratch on it, packed nicely and I could put it together myself. (And I can't even change a light bulb). And it came in less than a week. I am very, very pleased with everything. The chess pieces look and feel a bit cheap though but they can be replaced with something nice easily and the table itself is very nice. Would definitely recommend.

Not the color they advertise!!!

Like another customer I bought this chess table and it had a crack from end-to-end in the base. I sent the base to Trademark Games to replace it thinking I would take the "middle man" Amazon out of the equation. After all, why send the entire set back when only one piece is damaged? Well, that was a HUGE mistake. I got the run around from Trademark who never contacted me saying they couldn't replace the product and discovered it was "restocked." Now, how a chess set it can be restocked without the base of a table is one question. The other is why didn't Trademark simply send back the package I sent them? I take full responsibility for not going through Amazon, but come on. Btw, Amazon were GREAT helping me through this process and even agreed with me that Trademark should be able to replace the one part without having to send back an entire chess table. Anyway, definitely buyer beware with this chess set. The original price of $300 is ridiculously overpriced so don't think you're getting a great deal at $120. The pieces feel like they're made out of balsa wood and, like I said, there was damage in the base and even on the board itself. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!
