I was looking for a protective vest as a hockey goalie. I needed to protect my rib cage especially, and the foam inside the vest covers my rib cage well. I washed it several times in the washer on the "powerwash" cycle. It also goes in the dryer with no problem. I am very satisfied. Really cheap, compared to big brands above $100...
