Elegant Sundew - Drosera venusta - Carnivorous Plant 3" Pot

I am very happy with my purchases from Predatory Plants. I have always been interested in carnivorous plants, and just recently began collecting them. This Drosera Venusta is probably the most beautiful of all my Droseras. All plants well packaged and become acclimated to home and producing dew within 1-2 days. I will post pictures of my Venusta and also some of my other Droseras also purchased from Predatory Plants. On a side note my Drosera Capensis I had purchased a few months back is beginning to flower! First picture is Drosera Venusta, then Drosera Spatulata, Drosera Aliciae, and finally my flowering Drosera Capensis. Thank you Predatory Plants! I look forward to purchasing more plants to further diversify my garden.

Died within 2 months.

I have purchased a whole bunch of plants from this merchant on Amazon, and I've left good reviews for the plants that have done great.I've had this plant a little over a month and it never took off, and recently started to curl up & turn brown.I reached out to the seller, explained my issue and sent him a photo with exact detail of how I've witnessed this plant slowly die on me. I got zero response, and it's clear that once this seller got his money, that was it.I made sure the water level was kept at 1/4 of the container at all times, and always used distilled water for everything. It looks like I got bad luck with having a stressed out plant that never recovered.I was planning on purchasing a few more plants, but now I think I will search elsewhere and make my purchase with a more reputable seller.

The plant arrived safely and it is thriving. I have it under a grow light and in a room with a humidifier that keeps the humidity at 40%-50% and there are glistening drops of "adhesive dew" on most of the leaves. I feed it fruit flies. They easily get stuck and the leaves curl around the flies to eat. (This happens very, very slowly so don't expect to see it happening.) I use only distilled water as directed. It's fascinating!

this seller packs the plants carefully with enough sphagnum moss. It already captured several fruit flies. I wish it were larger though.
