Blades are really sharp and its still working well after a couple of years

It's large size makes it perfect for cabbage also has a good safety guard.

Needs to be kept separate from other kitchen tools, very sharp blade does amazing shaved cabbage but could easily get dulled if kept with other implements. I am searching for a plastic or silicone sleeve to slip it into when not in use. Apart from that it does exactly what it is supposed to do. By the way all instructions are in Japanese so you will need to use a translate app on your cell phone if you can't read Japanese.

Excellent, works great. Effortlessly slices cabbage. Blade extremely sharp, so make sure to use the cabbage holding when sliding the cabbage across the blade.

This slicer is useful when you need to slice vegetables extremely thinly. It can slice vegetables thinner than a knife can. However, the blade is very sharp, so you need to be careful not to cut your fingers. I slice cabbage thinly and use it in salads. It makes it easy to make thin slices of cabbage to accompany the Japanese dish tonkatsu.

The slicer works very well and the blade is sharp. It shreds cabbage REALLY thinly, so don’t expect to get a crunch out of your salad. I would recommend cutting the cabbage a bit narrower than the width of this mandolin, as it has slightly raised sides which will prevent the cabbage getting to the blade. Some parts of the cabbage get stuck under the blade, so you really need a brush to clean it, which is a bit of a pain. I used a translator app to translate the instructions that only come in Japanese, hope you find this helpful.
