ALL YOU NEED IS “PATIENCE” & YOUR EFFORTS WILL DEFINITELY BEAR “FRUIT”🥰
I like this pan,but the bottom wobbles on a gas range since it doesn’t have a flat bottom which is a major design flaw & the reason I had to take off 1star. I had to use a ring underneath for the pan to sit steadily as you can see in my video & pic. Even though this Aebleskiver pan comes pre-seasoned you still need to re-season it to attain non stick goodness. Here is how I did it! 1st of all wash the pan with warm water and a drop of mild soap(it is this one & only time I use soap on my cast iron). Rinse it well & dry really good using a soft & lint free cloth. I seasoned my pan on gas range, not oven. Once the pan dries off apply a light coating of oil and put it on a medium sized burner on a setting between 1&2. Once it gets hot & starts smoking a bit turn off the stove. Let it cool completely(IMPORTANT) and wipe off any excess oil. Repeat the process again for 3 more times. I did it for a total of 4 times. You could do it 3 times as well but I just wanted to make sure it was seasoned well before use..just in case. The 1st time I used it,it stuck a bit. But the next one was flawless, the aebleskivers just popped right out of the pan with very little effort. JUST REMEMBER low & slow is the key to success with cast iron pans. So start with low heat to preheat the pan and don’t go over medium heat while cooking for quick & easy release. High heat destroys the pan and anything you make in it gets stuck. Once done with cooking, cool the pan & wipe off any excess oil OR you could rinse the pan with warm water and dry it off well completely before storing to prevent any future rusting !

Good skillet
You have to season it after each use to prevent rusting. Just because it does rust (because the person didn't season it or left it in the sink or in water) doesn't mean its not good. All cast iron material HAS to be seasoned and dried after each use. Meaning, wash with mild detergent dry it and spray oil on it before storing away. I have a lot of cast iron cookware and I oil them after each use. Cast Iron last for decades literally. The more you use them the more they become non-stick. DO NOT LET THEM SIT IN THE SINK OR IN WATER. If so the iron can leave a ring in the sink. If this happens just use a steel wool on the sink to get the rust mark off. It comes right off. IF a cast iron does get some rust, you can steel wool it lightly but immediately preseason it. Best of luck, all cast iron cookware are a good investment. They retain their heat and cook food well.

The bottom is not seasoned at all
The top part that is used for cooking has been (lightly) seasoned. But the bottom has zero seasoning. You so much sneeze near it and it rusts with a vengeance.

Aebleskiver Pan In Use
Excellent quality. Worked great. We followed the seasoning steps before use. During the first attempt at cooking Poffertjes I noticed a little sticking, but the recipe we were using called for brushing melted butter in the wells before pouring in batter. For the subsequent batches I sprayed a little PAM across the wells and this seemed to work better. Took a little while for us to get acquainted with the wooden utensils, which never using before we soon became old pro's at rolling the Poffertjes over in the wells. This Poffertjes we made are to accompany my daughter's final school project on the Netherlands. We both learned a lot from this endeavor and enjoyed cooking together. They were delicious and I'm sure we'll be trying different "Dutch Donuts" recipes in the near future. My only complaint is the silicon sleeve on the handle doesn't insulate very well. Does its job at protecting you from inadvertent burns while holding handle to move skillet, but if cooking for a while may still want to use an oven mitt, etc.

DOES NOT WORK on my INDUCTION COOKTOP
This does NOT work on my Induction Cooktop. While it is probably fine for using on a gas stove or for baking in an oven it does not work on my INDUCTION COOKTOP! I put water in each "well" of the pan and heated it up. The middle well boiled rapidly, 3 wells boiled well enough BUT 3 wells never got over 165 deg F. See image attached. Not even close! I am disappointed but I will be returning this item.

Finally, a pan that works on glass top range. This pan performed as described. Kept even heat and provided excellent results. Definitely recommend this item.
