The FBI training academy adopted the original 5.11 pant as its training pant in 1992, forging a decades-long relationship that drives 5.11’s commitment to public safety and the first responder community. 5.11 Tactical began developing a more extensive law enforcement line in 2003. Our designers work together with public safety professionals to create gear that meets the needs of real people in the field. In 2012, we rose to the challenge of redesigning our women’s collection to create better fitting and higher performing options. Great work bag
I've been using this bag for a few months now and I'm quite impressed. I've been a big fan of 5.11's gear for a while, so this was a no brainer when I was looking for a work/laptop bag. Good padding on the shoulder strap and the back of the bag for extended carry periods. I saw a review saying they couldn't fit their 16 inch laptop in the outside zipper pocket and I too couldn't fit a 16 inch HP ProBook. That spot might be more convenient, but not sure that is actually for a laptop (I've been using it for paperwork). The internal laptop pocket fit the laptop perfectly. I imagine a lot of people are looking at this bag for its CCW capabilities and it fits that role perfectly. Sling the bag over your head and your CCW is ready to go. Once you're at your vehicle, stage the bag on the passenger seat for easy access. The double zipper pocket lets you easily draw from either side of your body. Oh and plenty of space for morale patches or additional MOLLE pouches.

Large and overbuilt
Tons of pockets and room enough for all the incidental junk you typically accumulate in a laptop bag. Just like everything else I've gotten from 5.11 it's overbuilt and I'm not worried about it ripping anytime soon. Well worth the money.

Great bag!
I was looking for a messenger bag for my laptop and a few items needed while traveling for work.So far this bag has stood up really well. It isn't a huge bag, but it holds my charger, spare battery, laptop, notebook/folio, and some other items really well. The strap is comfortable and the bag is comfortable to carry.The ability to add patches, etc. is pretty cool as well. It definitely had a tactical feel to it with the molly straps and such. It is also well made when I compared it to another 'look alike' Amazon bag at 1/2 the price. It is a good value considering how well it is made. Instead of buying a cheap bag every other year, get this one and I anticipate it lasting me several years!

Best Bag!!!
This bag is sturdy, comfortable to carry by hand or shoulder sling. Great compartments for books, laptop, supplies etc.

Good features and decent quality for the money
I like the overall design of the bag and the organizational layout—lots of useful pockets and thoughtful access. A MacBook Pro 16 just fits in the outside padded laptop/tablet pocket, and also fits inside in the laptop sleeve, which is great. The bag is good quality overall, with only a few minor sewing alignment issues. The only feature that’s a miss for me is the shoulder strap, which has a pad that is too slippery, and can’t be slid off for a different one because it won’t slide past the clips, which arepermanently sewn onto the strap. The strap clips into narrow webbing loops on the body of the bag (so it also won’t be simple to just replace the whole strap unless you can find one with a similar clip). Anyway, overall I recommended this bag if you like a bag with lots of organizational features and pockets, and I think it’s a good value for the price.

Excellent quality and perfect size.
I've had this for a few months for travel. It is well built and the pockets are ideal for keeping things organized. I am 6'3 and it is comfortable to carry for me.
