A Great Book!
This book has six young Egyptians speaking about light topics like daily routines and childhood memories, along with heavier topics like social issues and the economy. So far I've only studied a few chapters, but I really enjoy the methodology. If you read the front of the book carefully it explains how to study the chapters step-by-step. Basically in encourages you to listen to the audio several before reading the text. One unique feature that I really like about it, is that the people are speaking naturally and the dialogue isn't scripted. I like how text is presented side by side in columns, with English next to each line so I hardly have to look things up. I have been studying the Spanish version of this book too, I really like the methodology.

Simply the best
An excellent work by Matthew Aldrich and his staff at Lingualism. These guys have clearly understood what foreign students need to learn effectively a tough language like Arabic. Because the real trick of such a language is that you must learn "two languages", the Msa if you want to read it, and a dialect if you want to speak it. And Egyptian is by far your best choice. I bought all material published by Lingualism and I have made enormous progress in a matter of weeks. A MUST if you are really committed to learning Egyptian Arabic (which it means, speaking Arabic at last!)

Listen and learn, it is that simple.
Practice really does make perfect, so listen and repeat, the repetition is what makes words, sentences and how they sound really stick and don't rush, these things take time.
