Baby Listens (Little Golden Book) Hardcover – Picture Book, May 8, 2012

The stories in this book are written and illustrated from many years ago. That being said, my oldest granddaughter (now 5) has LOVED this book from the time she born. She would turn the pages and "read" it on her own for hours on end. Second granddaughter (now 3) also loves it also but was a bit rougher with the pages and we ended up buying another, which has seen better days also. They are now on their third book and I have one at my house for them to read also!

I have always loved this book and was very happy to find it on Amazon. One of the best children's books ever. Great for reading, looking at, and learning various sounds. A total winner for both adults and young children.

This is another favorite of mine for little people. Golden books are just about the right size for toddlers to hold, too. The pictures are so very sweet but not ickily so sweet - if you know what I mean. You can get a lot of good dialogue going when you read this to your little person. I really like this little book.

I bought this book to read to my granddaughter. On every page there are simple and quaint rhymes relating to the sounds that baby hears in his every day world. Beautiful illustrations that capture even a young child's mind. Love this sweet book.

This is an "old time" book that is sweet as can be .

This was my first book as a toddler (I still have my original copy - crayon scribbles and all - that I received when it first was published). When my eldest child was a toddler many years ago, I tried to find a new copy, but at that time I could only find a wipe-off version that deleted what I suppose the publishers considered "archaic" portions. Out of curiosity, I went searching on the Amazon site not long ago, and, lo and behold, there was my book! It arrived in pristine condition and contained all of the charming drawings and text of Eloise Wilkins' original edition. This "clean" copy will be preserved along with its original counterpart.

I grew up with LIttle Golden Books, my children grew up with them, and now I am buying them for my grandson. This is the sweetest little book, as only Esther Wilkin can make them. Adorable pictures and soft, flowing words make this book a must for any little one!

My 2 year old asks for Baby Listens to be read every night before bed - it's an adorable book, very catchy and easy for kids to memorize. My daughter knows the words by heart at 2. The pictures are precious, I recommend this one for toddlers.
