Much cheaper than a windlass
I used mine on a 28' cruiser on Lake Erie, so far it has been good. Not great, but good. One one occasion, the rope got tangled up on the drum while deploying the anchor. That was an obvious headache as I then needed to go up and untangle it. My only other concern is the strength of the rope. I haven't found anywhere that states what size boat or weight the rope is rated for, but it seems small for my use. It has worked, and worked well, but I wouldn't be surprised if a good wave on a anchor that has a good bite wouldn't snap the line. For me and my old boat, it was better than spending a couple thousand on a new windlass.
