Amazing New Thriller!!
"My entire world had gone up in flames, and I was still holding the match."Well, Queen Kiersten has done it again! I was kept guessing all the way through, and then, at the end, I was shocked once again!!The seamless transitions between present day, and the past, were brilliant. I've read books with flashbacks before and they can be confusing to say the least. Not this time! It was perfectly executed and gave the reader both a perfect history of the characters, and left you with just enough distrust of each of them in the present. Amazing!!You know, I've only been to one of my high school reunions. I'm still in touch with most of my circle of friends from that time anyway. But, after reading this, I don't think I'll be attending any in the future either.I love, love, love this author!! She always keeps you on your toes and never sure of the "whodunnit" all the way until the end! Bravo Queen Modglin on another twisty, turny thriller!!

Entertaining Read
I’m a fan reunion books, so it was a no brainer to scoop this one up. Cait DuBois, shunned by “the Populars” in her high school, is now a celebrated novelist with an amazing husband and lovely twins. Ten years after graduation she returns to her hometown and the hotel that hosted her senior prom—the scene of a tragedy that still haunts her. Returning to Hotel Lilith means encountering the girls that made her life miserable in the past, plus reconnecting with one of her oldest friends. Not long after arriving at Hotel Lilith, she meets a woman claiming to be a fan. Anna’s presence seems to be the catalyst for a series of mysterious events that grow increasingly threatening. The story didn’t follow the path I expected, but it held my interest and kept me flipping pages. The plot moves at a crisp pace with chapters alternating between Cait’s high school years and the present. We get a group of bitchy girls both in past and present, replete with underlying pettiness and snark. There’s also relationship angst and a dark secret Cait has harbored since the night of the prom but has never shared.I admit being frustrated with Cait’s behavior in the last quarter of the book but without giving away spoilers the reasons are hard to address. There’s also a plot hole at the end, but it’s relatively small and doesn’t distract from the climatic scenes. If you’re looking for a quick read that plays out like a Lifetime movie, The Reunion is a good fit.

KMod is absolutely Amazing
A R C • R E V I E W•Title: The ReunionAuthor: Kiersten ModglinRating: 5/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️•“You don’t have to be the one throwing the flames in order to help spread the fire.”•“The possibilities were endless, reminding me of just how fragile our existence is. Everything is hanging by a thread every day. A single move, a single choice, can change the course of your life completely.”•“At the end of the day, I’d chosen the little black dress that made me feel amazing. The one I love wearing out of the house. The one that made everyone see me, notice me, envy me. But the sweater was always there. And on hard days, I still craved the sweater.”•This book is a little bit ghost story, a little bit romance and a little bit memoir. Do I have your attention yet?•So it is without a doubt official, I will read ANYTHING Kmod writes. She is literally AMAZING. She did it once again, leaving my heart pounding out of my chest and my jaw on the ground with yet another completely enticing thriller. If these quotes don’t have you curious or making you want to read more, then you are out of your mind! Seriously, this is hands down one of my favorite books from 2021.•It was absolutely insane and so incredible for Kmod to be able to make me feel like I was completely transferred into this story and was the main character. This was the absolute most perfect past meets the present story about a high school reunion. In this story Kmod was able to recreate ALL of my insecurities I had in high school and made me feel as if she was writing about ME (minus the murder of course).•This story had me stressing over so much, but especially the fact I loved a majority of the characters and felt a specific pull between two people in particular. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to happen necessarily, but what I can tell you is what happened I never could have expected. I loved everything about this story, the twists, the turns, and that ending which left me with all sorts of feelings and emotions. Not to mention, this was a dual timeline of past vs present which is a huge bonus for me.•If you haven’t read a KMod book yet, I have no idea what you are waiting for, her stories are absolutely gripping and straight up gems.#KMod #grippingthriller #oneofmyfavoritebooksof2021 #alittlebigghostsotry #alittlebitromance #alittlebitmemoir #iwastransportedintothisstory #bringsbackmemories #KModisamazing #thereunion #kierstenmodglin

10 stars
In all fairness, this author is one of my all time favourites but she has outdone herself with this one. It is written in the past/present tense and revolves around Cait Du Bois and her friends. At 28 years old, she is a popular writer and married with twins. The story takes place at her 10th high school re-union but she is very nervous and tense about being there because something terrible happened 10 years before, at her high school prom and it seems that someone wants to make sure that she has not forgotten about it and to keep punishing her for the part they feel ahe played in what happened. Great story that has a lot of twists and I highly recommend it to anyone who reads at all!

Fantastic thriller!
Kiersten Modglin is the Queen of twisty, complex thrillers and The Reunion didn't disappoint! All the eerie, peculiar vibes and I'm all here for it. I absolutely couldn't put this book down (I feel so redundant since I say that about every single one of her books but it's true!) and I was just dying to find out what happened. Of course, BOOM comes the big devious, twisty reveal that I've been living for! Highly recommend as always!Bonus points for an EXCELLENT narration by Meg Price. Completely entrancing performance and made for an amazing listening experience!

Another good story from Kiersten
If I'm honest, I am not enjoying then and now storylines and they all seem to be in this style however of course it has to be like that. Good characters, likeable main character, relatable and good plot. I had an idea of the ending, whodunnit, but it was a good read and enjoyable.
