Found the vents to be pointless actually but I have been using the screen for well over a year. It’s so much better than the thin crappy screens that you have to keep replacing. You can buy replacements for this so you can get the screen cheaper. As a slight disclaimer you do have to remember not to touch this immediately after using it because it takes a little while to cool down.

it does increase the airflow, which makes for a more pleasant vaping experience.However the oven screen is smaller than the pax 2 oven, so it doesn't sit in place nicely and moves around, causing the herb to clog the duct inside.

Now, it doesn't sit flush, but as long as there isn't build up around the lip of the oven it is secure. It also comes with an extra screw and an oven screen that's too thick to heat up properly, so I just don't use that. I really like the ventilation of this one, it definitely fixed the problem I was having with my pax and being able to pack it tighter as I smoke is really good for getting more out of it. I'm not sure how long it will last, but if you’re wanting a fix for the really hard but weak pulls, this definitely does it.

Melts don’t buy

I'd previously got one of these that seemed to work OK and improved pax quite a bit, but think I accidentally binned it, but this one, just a bit rubbish, didn't little to improve experience, and just a bit flakey. Put me off pax for good.

If buying a pax 2 highly suggest this piece i dont know why pax didnt use this deisgn

It defo improves things over stock. shame the bottom does not clip in and stay in like the stock oven bottom though.
