What vacuum tubes does this item come with?

I called their number and they give you the runaround. They don't know what the cheap China tubes are. They are poorly labeled and it looks like 6J2 but the J is backward and looks to have an M at the end. I really want to know if these 7 pin tubes can be replaced with a matched pair of JAN 5654W's.

Why won't pyle provide the tube types used on this amplifier? i called the technical support number and they didn't know. how lame is that?

I just pulled all the tubes and replaced them with better EV tubes. The ones it had were all cheap Chinese tubes. Makes a difference. I can verify you will need a 2.5mm hex wrench - and they are on tight. You may need pliers to help rotate the hex wrench. It was a pain to remove the three screws and plastic cover on each tube - I just took them all off and will leave them like that. The smaller tubes are GN2 - plain Chinese tubes. I replaced them with a matched pair of Soviet Voskhod Rocket 6N2P-EV / EB tubes. You may need to find them online as Amazon may not have them - I used Vivatubes. The larger tubes are 6P1 - plain ones. Amazon does have quality replacements - I replaced them with Riverstone Audio - 6P1P-EB Tested AND Matched Pair (2 tubes) - Vintage Vacuum Tubes - Amplitrex Tested - Replacement for 9-PIN 6P1 / 6P1P Tubes - Platinum Grade Pair. All is working very well - quiet and smooth. I will break them in and report back but they are MUCH better than the stock tubes.
