Q: What is the height of this bowl.

Because bowl sides are wavy some sides are higher than the others. I would need to go round whole bowl and measure. I will say It is a beautiful glass bowl. I don’t use it as a fruit bowl. I have it on a glass table with a few coloured beads in it. It reflects the light. I love it.

Q: Would this bowl be suitable for floating candles?

There are 2 different bowls under this listing - I have the 29cm one which looks like it is shallower than the 27cm. The 29cm one is very stable and solid. The depth at the shallowest point is approx 3.5 cms. So it depends on the size and number of candles you are planning to float in the bowl as to whether this bowl will suit your needs. I have just tried to float a small, shallow 4cm diameter candle in my bowl and I estimate you could easily get 6 of these to float in the bowl at once. Having said that - the single candle looked beautiful, reflecting the flame into the water and still picking up the colours of the surface that the bowl is placed on. I disagree with the person who said ' only looks good when placed in a light position'. I guess it's just a matter of taste and the effect you are aiming for. If you buy a bowl and it doesn't work for you as regards floating candles, you'll still be the owner of a lovely bowl.
