Easy to understand for kids and helpful for adults as well.
I have given many of these books to kids and use it all the time in my childrens classes. I donated it to the school library as well. It is easy to understand and use over and over.

Perfect for both adults and kids
I love this book as an adult. If you have always been intimidated by learning to draw this is the book for you. Each lesson is short and only takes about 15 minutes, unless you are a perfectionist. There is plenty of practice with early skills as you learn to add just a bit more to your drawing skill set. You will gain confidence quickly through baby steps. All of the repitition helps you learn to see the world differently and to draw quickly with confidence.I keep a small sketch book with me now so that when I have a free 5 to 10 minutes I can put my new skills to work, observing light, shadow, shading, perspective, forshortening, overlapping etc.My 7 year old has completed the first 30 lessons with me and it's been really fun to watch her ability and confidence grow as well. She doesnt hesitate now to just pick up a pencil and try to draw just about anything. This makes an excellent homeschool or self paced, independent drawing curriculum. My 13 year old has almost completed the book and she now sees the world more like an artist.

What an Amazing Art Teacher... Mark Kistler Really Understands How to Inspire Kids (and Adults) to Draw, Draw, Draw!
Wow! What an amazing book. I watched Mark Kistler only a few times (by chance) when I was growing up. I'm not even sure what made me find this title today. My whole family is now using this book, to "draw, draw, draw!"My kids are 6 & 7 years old. We have now become members of Mark's draw 3d dot come website. The book and its exercises are so much fun! Very inspirational, and we have seen dramatic improvement in our drawing and perception, in just a few days! I can't wait to see the amazing results that are sure to come from following along with this book.Mark's writing style and personality shine through in this entertaining and informative book. My kids were rolling on the floor, when the list of "supplies you will need," included a banana: "I prefer the yellow ones, with a few brown freckles. Use a felt-tipped marker to draw a face on it! But make sure you peel it immediately, so the poison doesn't leak through, leading to the arrest of the drawing maniac who suggested you write on your banana!" Hahahaha... The kids are still laughing at that one.
