Hal Leonard Pride & Prejudice: Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack

Bought this cause I wanted to learn all the songs and be like Elizabeth Bennet but now I’m learning I realize I’m more like Mary and I don’t want anything to do with people or men.

I purchased both the "Easy Piano Solo" and "Piano Solo" versions of this book. The easier book had larger print, fewer notes, and more common notes. The songs were still beautiful and easy to recognize from the movie. However, I ended up preferring the harder versions of a few of the songs like "Georgiana" because they sounded more authentic. Had to study those a lot more to play them. I was glad to have the whole book of songs because they are all so beautiful!

I’d say the difficulty of this book is between beginner and intermediate, closer to intermediate. I played piano as a kid and struggle as an adult but this book is just about where I am. It has chords on both hands and doesn’t get too crazy difficult but the thing that is hard for me is that movie score music isn’t the same as a song where it makes sense, it’s very repetitive and easy to get lost. I’m glad I bought this and I am really enjoying it as I LOVE the movie.

Definitely easy piano, not beginner. I love it and sounds just like the soundtrack without being too difficult. I could easily sit down and site read. With some practice I’m sure this will be one of my favorite books to play.
