Big pads. The photo you show is misleading. The others show the larger pads. Great for the price.

Q: Can it be used to push? Or open?

Yes, it can be used to push. I have used it to jack up a heavy desk I have on blocks when a block is slipping out from under the desk leg.

Q: clamp/spread changer is this the old (screw) or new version? shows both in the pictures
