Perfect buy!
Great product. Easy assembly. Light weight but sturdy. Matches perfectly with the end tables and shelf I purchased with Amazon. May be minor scratches on some pieces of the wood from packing possibly (included in photos) but once assembled they did not show. Lower than I thought but it’s perfect how it is. Does not take up too much space so wherever you place it you will have plenty room.

Nice for the price
I downsized from a large house to a small apartment and needed a smaller coffee table. This one is very attractive, easy to assemble, and sturdy. The two bins hide all the clutter while keeping it in reach. Very nice for the price.

Typical Particle Board Quality
I bought this coffee table for our basement/game room where the couch is ony about 6 feet away from the t.v. Our old coffee table was way too fat and tall and I really wanted something small so i could put my feet up withiut my feet interfering with the t.v. screen without spending too much on real wood furniture. It is pretty small and looks good but while you put it together you are reminded of the cons if particle board. Here is my review and experience after buying this coffe table: PACKAGING: It's always a hit or miss with build it yourself furniture. It could come scratched, dinged, or chipped. Fortunately mine came safe and well packaged with just some minor cosmetic flaws on the legs (4/5). ASSEMBLY: Very easy to assemble. Not a lot of pieces. HOWEVER, the pilot holes for the screws are not recessed so when the coffee table is fully assembled, you'll see the black screws on the finished side of the legs. It makes it look cheaper so i drilled new holes and coverd the holes with wood stickers in dark brown/espresso. Also, it is very wasy to strip or chip particle board so be careful when you add and tighten screws. Overall, easy to assemble, just wish they changed the pilot holes for the screws or included stickers to cover them. (3.5/5) APPEARANCE: For $65.00, it looks good for what it is and is pretty sturdy once fully assembled. The finish is typical of this type of furniture. I ordered the espresso/dark brown and it seems these colors are always up to interpretation. To me, it's more of a dark walnut rather than espresso. I guess that's why they advertise it as dark brown as well. Either way, it blends pretty good with my existing furniture so it was ok. Just prepare yourself for the potential that the color won't match your specific expectations (4/5) STORAGE: While it is nice that they include the 2 bins, they are very thin and cheap feeling. I would'nt put heavy things in them, just light stuff like game controllers or remotes, things if that nature. Fortunately, they look nice so at least they are not eye sores. Plus, you can always add higher quality baskets if you want. (3.5/5) OVERALL: I think this is a great buy for those on a tight budget and/or in a small living area. Perfect for college dorms or small living rooms. Just remember you are paying for, and getting, particle board quality furniture so your experience may vary in terms of quality control. (3.8/5)

great value
I am at a loss to explain the many very negative reviews of this product. I need a lot of storage space, and have about a half-dozen of various Furinno shelving units. All are cleverly designed and went together with the greatest of ease. Considering the light-weight materials, they are quite sturdy. I wouldn't put very heavy things on them, of course, but for general storage of linens, etc., they are great units at good prices. This piece is no exception, though it is slightly more complex in terms of the number of pieces involved and how they go together. The instructions might seem a little daunting to a novice. Study them before assembling to insure success. Some intuition also must be used when drawings and parts are a bit unclear. But this is not exactly rocket science -- just common sense. The worst thing about my unit was the ghastly Styrofoam cushioning that the materials were packed in: it becomes magnetic when broken up, sticks to everything, and is very difficult to clean up. It can be removed by using tape, as you would to remove lint on a sweater. It sticks to the tape and can then be disposed of. The unit went together as instructed with little fuss or confusion. It took me about an hour to assemble completely, as opposed to 10 or 20 minutes for the simpler shelving units. It is held together with dowels between pieces. Long screws secure them. All the holes are in the right places, but examine the pieces first to make sure where everything goes. No glue is required, included, or needed as some reviewers state. Everything must be tightly joined, however: dowels must be lightly tapped in all the way, preferably with a rubber hammer. Screws must be fully inserted and tightened completely. Just hand-strength is sufficient, but give everything that extra little twist until they feel completely secure. The top piece attaches easily and securely with cam nuts and screws. Anybody who says it comes off just doesn't understand the working of the cam nut. The table is standard-size: not overly heavy, nor too small, substantial enough for ordinary use. It is not one of those football-field sized tables some people seemed to expect. In any case, the measurements are clearly and accurately described in the product description. Of course, you cannot put sweating glasses down on any piece of furniture without leaving a ring, including walnut and mahogany pieces which may sell for 100 times the price of this unit. Use a coaster and/or wipe off any liquids immediately. Some of the pieces did have nicks or broken veneer on them, as people say, but a little scratch-cover polish can take care of that. The cloth drawers are sturdy enough for what they are, and are attractive. They provide a little much-needed extra storage space, which comes in handy in a New York City apartment. A good table for a very casual setting, at a pretty fantastic price.

Short, looks cheap, but it does what it needs too.
Looks cheap, but that’s kind of to be expected with the price. It’s also SUPER small and short! My couch is already pretty low to the ground (about 12 inches off the ground. This was about 2-3 inches shorter. If you have a taller couch this may be too low. It’s sturdy, however the rubber on the edges started to peel off after a week of having it. Use coasters to be safe. Overall while it looks cheap it does what it needs to and if you just need a coffee table and don’t care how it looks, it’s a decent value for your money.

Great Table at the Right Size and Height with Plenty of Storage
This coffee table is just the right size, not too big or too small. It has two cloth draws that allows you to put snacks or magazines in, and a shelf to put heavier things. The table is made of wood and is painted, so it can be damaged easily by hitting it (such as with your sofa as I did) or by heat (melting the paint with a hot pot). So if you plan to put something hot on the table, best to use wooden cushions that you can get at 99 cent stores. Another suggestion is add a small table cloth or plastic cover for easy clean up and prevent damage. If you like eating while sitting on the floor, this table is the right height for it, and each end offers room to keep your legs under the table. All the screws come in the box to assemble the three layers and the legs, but you do need your own screw driver. Some reviewers said the top of their tables moved, but it is not true if you turn the mechanism that locks the top of the table in place. There is a graphic instruction sheet, so read it carefully during assembly. It took me a little over half hour to put together, but that's because I was taking my time and having a semi-conversation with my mom.

A decent table for small spaces (see pictures)
Okay first things first. This is a small coffee table. It would work perfectly in a room in front of a small couch or loveseat or in a studio apartment. It is not super heavy duty and in fact it's only rated for about 25 lb of maximum weight. So yeah you could rest your feet on it and maybe a laptop, your dinner plate or cup and a couple magazines but that's about it. There are two small pull out storage bins that go on each side in the bottom. They are fabric and very lightweight. Maybe you could put TV remotes or magazines or something in there, but they are definitely not made for anything heavy. I'm sure you could look around and find some baskets that would fit if you want to have some. The construction is the typical particle board material with a wood grain finish on it. Probably contact paper of some sort or another. I got lucky with mine. There was no shipping damage at all. It was perfect when I took it out of the box. Speaking of the box, You should take some pictures of how it's packed when you open it. It will help you re-pack it if you decide you need to return it. You'll be able to use those pictures as a reference to get it back in the box the same way it came out. Now for the assembly. It goes together with the typical wood dowels, drywall screws, and the cam lok style metal fasteners. If you have ever put together a piece of furniture from IKEA then you will know exactly what I'm talking about. If not, I've provided plenty of pictures that follow along with the instruction so you have a visual reference of what the actual part and its pieces look like after they are installed. That way you can see what every piece looks like and what parts go on to it. Then how it is installed and how to put it together. Most importantly what the end result looks like. A few tips. Make sure you glance through the instructions first to familiarize yourself with all the parts and double check that you have the correct amount of fasteners, dowels and screws as listed on the instruction sheet. There are no extras provided so if they're short you're going to have to chase them down locally or contact the manufacturer for another set of hardware. *** Now this is important. *** I strongly advise that you do not use a powered screwdriver to assemble this. Since this is particle board wood, the screwdriver may just have too much power and too much torque which will cause the wood to split and or crack. Only use a hand screwdriver and a small craft hammer or equivalent to tap the wood dowels in. Then, I always have a bar of soap or liquid soap that I put on the threads of any screw or fastener that has to be screwed in. That way it shouldn't bind up. If you use a hand screwdriver, go slowly and you're careful, everything should go together perfectly. I had zero problems putting it together by myself. In fact, I set it up on top of my kitchen table and assembled it right there. If a 71-year-old guy with arthritis in his thumbs can put this together by himself, you most certainly can put it together by yourself as well. As you can see in the picture, this little table is perfect for my use in front of a Lazy Boy recliner loveseat in my smallish living room area. So go for it, but just realize this IS a low end item so use care when assembling. I hope you find this review helpful. Now for my disclaimer - I did NOT receive this for free , or as part of any promotion. I BOUGHT this table and this review is based on my ACTUAL experience with this coffee table.
