This tool is so useful. It's my go to crescent wrench for light duty work. Gets into tight places. Good quality. But it's not designed for abuse. It's a delicate tool that will likely break easily if you apply too much force. I believe the instructions stated this as well when I got the tool a couple years ago. Kind of common sense when you look at it.

A common issue with S&W M&P Compact 22 with threaded barrel is that the thread protector is all most impossible to remove. I found this to be true. S&W usually sends a wrench for this with the pistol but mine came without the wrench. The flats for the wrench on the thread protector are very narrow so I tried to remove the thread protector with a stamped wrench I had laying around. It bent. So I emailed S&W and they happily sent me one of their wrenches. With only minimal pressure one of the ears snapped off on the wrench. So I spend some time looking for a sturdy thin wrench and came upon this Channellock 806SW Xtra Slim Jaw 6-Inch Adjustable Wrench. It being a Channellock product, which I have always had a lot confidence in, I decided to order it even though it was a little expensive. Initially it did not work because the jaws were still to thick to fit into slots for the flats. After a bit of filing on the jaws, I got them to fit into the slots and I was able to break loose the thread protector. Very sturdy adjustable wrench and worth the price.
