The image shows a unit with frequency output and the description says locked rotor output. Which one is it supposed to be?

One of our customers just sent us this video when we asked which they needed--thanks for the shout out, Jon, and great notation Phil! Campbell, you do need the characters after the "V3" to denote what type of output. KDE1204PKV3.MS.AR.GN will work with this and KDE1204PKV3.MS.AF.GN will not. The one with the "R" actually indicates a tachometer (speed sensor) and the one with the "F" indicates a locked rotor alarm signal. However, Sunon discontinued the KDE models a few years back and replaced them with MF models (MF40201V3-1000U-A99 replaced KDE1204PKV3.MS.AR.GN). Can i use this fan as a replacement for sunon model: kde1208pkv3? if not, is an alternative? i'm unable to locate a source for the kde1208pkv3.

They are not the same fan. Your fan kde1208pkv3 is 80mm, our fan is 40mm

How long are the wires?

relatively long. 50/50 they are attached to the wrong model due to an incorrect product listing. Mine were also attached to what appears to be a counterfeit fan.
