it was alright....
this book was an easy quick read...had very little substance...apparently their is not much information available to base a decision on buying penny stocks...however I did appreciate the writers suggestions on what percentage of ones available capital to use for these particular types of trades, when one is to hop on the buying wagon and at what profit percentage one should hop off the wagon.Real basic book.

A marvelous read
Penny Stocks is an interesting and educational read for any level of stock investment, not just penny stocks. Devin Wilcox epitomizes the qualities of an apt instructor in the field of Penny Stocks by being unscrupulous with his instructions; in short, keep the goal in mind! This is not a 'Get Rich Quick' scam, this is advice towards general behaviors you should adopt if you want to be an effective stock trader. More importantly this book does not in any way promise to make you money, it merely points out what your best chances are if you structure your money-making plan accordingly.Keep your goal in mind and follow through with your plan.

Poor advice, conflicting statements, and inaccurate statements
Poor advice: Chapter 6 - "Sometimes, more of than not, the market goes against the expected norm. This is when you simply cannot lose your cool. You have to have the courage to stay the course despite everything. If you have the patience, you will be rewarded. This is how you make money in penny stocks." WHEN A TRADE GOES AGAINST YOU GET OUT AND CUT YOUR LOSSES ASAP!!! You can always get back into a trade if it starts going in your direction. ALWAYS place stop orders so that you can get out if the trade goes against you. After I read chapter 6 I read no further.Poor advice: Chapter 6 - "Once you observe that a certain stock is trading with high volume and the price is just right, press the buy button." The author does not mention any chart signals here. Did it break resistance or support? Is this a morning spike? He does not tell you how to know that the price is just right.Poor advice: Chapter 6 - "Use less than 2% of available trading capital." Well that depends. How much is in your account? If you have an account of $2,000 that would mean you would make a trade with $40. Lets say the stock is $1 per share. The stock goes up 50 cents. You make $20. How much are your brokerage fees? How much did you make on this trade? Did this guy really think this through?Conflicting statements: Chapter 2 - "Penny stocks are not what a big investor is going to be interested in. No one with a large amount of capital and wants to invest in a stock is going to bother with penny stocks". Chapter 5 - "If you have sufficient funds, you can manipulate the price movements. This is precisely what big players can do. Imagine what banks and financial institutions can do with their huge portfolios." One must always consider the market makers and Level II quotes. There are big investors in penny stocks contrary to what he says in Chapter 2.Inaccurate statement: Chapter 1 - "Another negative aspect of the pink sheet stocks is that you cannot short sell." Not according to Investopedia.Inaccurate statement: Chapter 6 - "When you use low leverage, you actually lower your chances of suffering a losing trade. You may make small profits but you DEFINITELY WON'T LOSE MONEY (Emphasis mine)." There is always a possibility that you will lose money. In fact, penny stocks are very speculative and chances are you will lose money. This is absolutely the worst penny stock book I have read. Of course, I stopped after he told penny stockers to stay in a trade no matter what, and that you definitely won't lose money if you use low leverage. At this point I thought to myself, "this guy does not have a clue." But maybe the book gets better.

Pretty straight forward
Definitely aimed at the beginner. It has some good advice with examples, and explains of having a plan before you make a trade. Something I'm sure all of us may have deviated from at one point. If you've never traded, this will help you get started but nothing groundbreaking.

Meh, Nothing Special
I did not enjoy this book. I am a new investor and looking to learn. I felt like i did not learn anything from this book because as others stated its all common sense. There are no specific strategies outlined in this book, and it does not teach you how stock valuation, chart analysis, etc. Save your money. I don't know why this was highly rated.

I'm not sure what I learned.
This is the basics of penny trading, yes. But don't expect to learn anything you can apply to trading. This book is void of any real information. If I were to bet, this author read an ebook like "Ebooks for Beginners: How to Get Rich Writing Ebooks". And then probably spent a week of effort researching and writing it. I got the the end and I thought my Kindle was acting up and not showing me the rest of the book, but NO!, that in fact was just the end of the book. It was exactly worth the price I paid, FREE. If you want to invest in your future, don't start with spending $3.00 of your savings on this.

great help for trading penny stocks
I actually tinkered around in penny stocks a few years ago, but I was constantly freaking out because I wasn't really sure of what I was doing. I did wind up making $500 from the investment, but over the course of the five days I was a complete stressed out wreck. This book really lays out what I need to know, and I'm so grateful to have it now. I wish I had it back then so I could have traded with more knowledge. Thanks so much!

fake ratings
Do not waste your time or money on this book! It's a scam. No way could this book have any 5 star ratings. The free gift worth $100 is a real joke. Send them your email address and they will send you more opportunities to be scammed. Why does amazon give con artist like this guy access to their loyal customers. Had to give it 1 star because amazon would not let me give it 0.

It's a good book I suppose
I'm just starting to learn about trading business, read the book and definitely enjoyed it, now need to take action to learn in practice what I just read about, so I'm not giving it 5 stars for that, but I found the information very clear and enlightening.

Poor
I found this book a waste of my time and money, it's poorly written and from an academic background a GCSE student could write better than this. There are mistakes within the book, there is a section where the auther highlights points using bullet points but does not seem to notice the first and last point are exactly the same.I'm disappointed in buying this book and personally would recommend that if anyone wishes to learn about the penny stocks use google or youtube you'll get better quality than this book.
