and their customer service was great. I prefer e-mails and they always responded within ...
I installed this on a 2011 Chevy 1/2 ton truck with extended cab and 78.7" bed. This is the third hitch of this type that I've installed. The first two were B&W brand an on 3/4 ton trucks. I chose to try this draw-tite hitch based on it's price since structural strength wasn't such a concern since it was going on a 1/2 ton truck. Before getting into the details of the hitch, let me first say that my hitch was sold through AutoAccessories4less, and their customer service was great. I prefer e-mails and they always responded within 1 business day and there were very willing to "RIGHT" and wrongs. My unit arrived with a tear in the box and I was missing the actual ball and any instructions. The seller took care of that promptly with no excuses. I like these style hitches because you don't have to remove the bed, however, installing this unit on my truck eventually required me to remove all the bed bolts and jack the bed up at least 1 1/2" to be able to slide the cross rails through and to be able to slide them far enough forward to insert the rear carriage bolts thought the rear rail and into the center hitch assembly. Obstructions from shock mounts and brake lines just wouldn't let you shift the rails without more room to wiggle. The second issue was that the installation instructions didn't match the parts and hardware of this unit. I got a copy online from the draw-tite site as well and found the same thing. Although most of the hardware that came with my units worked, I still had to get a couple of 5/8 x 6" grade 8 bolts and matching washers & nut to bolt through the frame in one place on each side. The assembly instruction show using a U-bolt to go around the frame in another place, yet the hardware kit utilized a pre punched flat bar piece and long carriage bolts to accomplish the same effect. I'm a do-it-yourselfer, and can usually assemble things from just looking at a picture of how the finished product should look, and that's what it took here. ONE BIG thing about the instructions that was VERY WRONG for my application was the distance noted for drilling the hole in the truck bed. The instruction said it should be 42 7/16 from the back of the bed (the same it gave for the shorter 69.30" bed used on the crew cabs). I found that 45 1/4" was the minimum distance for my truck. The BEST part about the design of this hitch is the places they used slots where the main bolts go that assemble the unit, which allows you a good 1/4" of room to shift things side to side and front to back to line things up if you were to miss drill your hole in the bed a little. After all was completed, I'd suggest drilling the hole 45 1/2" from the back of the bed. It took me 5 hours to install this hitch by myself but I'm sure I could do it in 3 hours if I had to do it again and just had an extra set of hands and eyes to keep me from having to crawl out from under the bed to look at something and check it or maneuver a part in a certain way. Overall I'm happy with the end result. I gave it 4 stars just because I wasn't expecting a product this much cheaper than it's competitors to be as good and the short comings weren't impossible to work around. I'd compare the quality and fit of this with that of DeeZee add-on accessory products.

Good product ease of installation is 50/50
Product is great pulled my 3 horse trailer with a 5” offset no problem. Definitely worth the money compared to other setups. But the ease of installation is 50/50 realistically if your a backyard mechanic or dont have all the tools to do the job itll be a long afternoon for you. All the holes lined up and drilling the hole for the bed was a breeze but bed has to basically be raised to get the actual hit on the frame rails. Other than a few extra hoops to jump through it’s perfect

NOT FOR A GMC DENALI!
This evidently was NOT the kit I needed, even after communicating with Draw-Tite. I have a 2016 GMC Sierra Denali short bed. Contacted Draw-Tite to make sure this was the underbed hitch I needed. Yes, definitely. Except they forgot to inquire if I had electromagnetic suspension. That puts a couple extra, small brackets in the way. Cost me an additional 3-hours of labor charges and 3 additional days of my truck not being available for use. And the workmanship for the safety chain brackets is absolutely shoddy. Not the same size, workmanship poor. The gooseneck ball release doesn't work properly. After pulling it out to it's supposedly "locked" position and it popping back in with the slightest shake to the truck, you need someone to come hold it out. Not very useful. No response from Draw-Tite about the extra time or charges. No real rectification about the hitch not fitting. No good, honest, responsible answer to anything. I'd go with the BW kit next time.

03 GMC Sierra 2500 LD
This goose-neck claims to fit my 2003 GMC SIERRA 2500 Light-Duty Extended cab with a 6.5 ft box, but does not, it simply does not fit the frame lines for this vehicle and the 4434 for the HD appear fit much better. Unfortunately everywhere online claims this hitch will fit, but it will clearly not. The light Duty pick-up that year was said to come with an LD frame, but actually comes with an HD frame and a different rear axle. The frame is 42" wide before the fram curve and 44" after so the flat plates, even with spacers do not work correctly. Looks like a great hitch, just does not work for this said vehicle.

Worked as expected
Overall for the price it worked perfectly. The only issue I had was a piece was missing and the installers had to create something just to make it work. Once they figured that out it has worked just as expected.

That the frame has to be drilled to match the brackets
The hitch did kinda fit my 2004 Silverado. But that’s all I can say there. It was not a no drill required installation like the Description said. And there isn’t quite enough room between the bed and the frame rails but the bed did bolt back down and all body lines still match up. The bed just puts pressure down on the hitch sandwiching it in placeBut it was able to go in the truck and function like it’s supposed to
