Q: anybody know the BHN of this?

It has a BHN of 5. It is pure lead.

Q: What's the best way to cut this into chunks if I only need a couple of pounds at a time? Thanks.

The best way to partition it is just melt what you need by sticking it in the smelter vertically and take it out when you have what you need. My buddy took an old cheap kitchen butcher knife and divided it into chunks by hammering the knife through it.

Q: Will this work for plumbing purposes? Install a cast iron shower drain.

Just be aware, it's illegal to use lead in plumbing now.
