STANLEY - POWER LOCK : Tape Measure - 3M/10"

Super easy to read and it got an awesome shiny look. It certainly lock as I want. I have another under brand that doesn't want to lock tight and it makes me mad. This one does more than the job. I almost feel bad when it gets scratched underneath the ruler. Will take care of it and make it last as long as I can. Certainly makes you look bossy and professional too.

As a real life "maker" of things, this is by far the most useful size to carry about, the shop and to the supply store. It fits in the pocket well and affords a finer scale than the massive tape measures used by builders. I have a couple that still work from the 70's. Alas, these are not the same, but close enough.When training a young maker, this makes a wonderful gift, but remember to teach them that this is not a precision tool. It is for getting close. You can always take more off, but it's super hard, if not impossible to put more back on!Measuring is a lost skill for so many. I gave these things to my kids when they were about ten and had them measure everything I could think of, until they got it right. I take great pride when my adult kids measure something accurately and tell them to pay it forward.I stash these things all over the place, for handy access. There is not a better value out there, it's a gentle person's style tool, slim and highly pocketable!. I've been using this small measuring tape for several decades! This pint-sized measuring tape is very durable and long lasting! The only time I need new one is when I misplace it or someone "accidentally" forgets to return it to me.Example, I worked at an architectural firm and a group of us went to a jobsite. However, both of the architects forgot to bring a tape measure. Fortunately, I had my trusty purse-sized 10-foot measuring tape. It was a face saver for the architects. Infact, I had to remind one of the architects to return my measuring tape...he had put it in his pocket, "by accident". Well worth the money! Great for gifts as well.
