Don't understand why magnets should stretch, they don't but boy do they stick! To get them apart wrap them in a layer of low adhesive masking tape,leave a tail then if they grab onto each other SLIDE them apart. I use them for holding paper down during crafting...paper stays put.

I got these to make purse hanger magnets out of and I think they might even be a little too strong. I stuck one to the side of the fridge and had to practically peel the thing off. I'm hoping that once it's sewed into material it will dampen the magnetic pull a little.

These things are just what I needed. They hold real good. Great buy for the money.

Strong magnets but low finish quality. One magnet was broken. On another the plating looks to be coming off. works for my immediate application but probably will not purchase again.
