Minka-Aire F854-DK Wave 44" Ceiling Fan with Remote Control in Distressed Koa Finish (no light kit)

This fan is great and we love it for our kitchen.

It's our first Minka fan and we love it. It's a great product: stylish, great finish, easy to operate remote and its motor is very very quiet. The sculptured blades move air well. We have had many different fans during the years, and this is the best. We are very happy with our purchase.

Swapping out from a Hunter-type fan, the only slightly tricky issue was fitting the wiring, etc., under the fairly small cup this fan includes to cover the ceiling mount stuff. Once mounted, this is a beautiful and powerful fan. We have used it pretty much daily for a little over a year, and have had no issues. There are three power levels for the fan, and we never need it higher than level 2. The remote is a nice feature, too.

I wanted a big ass fan and for the price of one, was able to get two Minkas. I was hesitant about the length of the blades (I went with the shorter blades) and find them to be perfect for my setting. I have a living area that’s a part of a great room. The living area is approx 10’ x 11’. The fan looks perfect for the scale and cools almost too well. I have pine colored LVP and a driftwood bookshelf and this color of the fan is is just right. Most folks think it is a BAF. I think it’s better. Also super quiet. My other Minka with the light makes a slight noise but this one makes almost no sound.Install used a hot wire and control the on-off with the remote. The remote oddly includes a light switch even though there’s no light.Overall would buy again and recommend.

I love its minimalist style, and it is very cooling. The fan circulates the air and cools my small room. Could use it to be a little less noisy, there's a humming sound. But I got used to it and nothing bothersome or obnoxious. I really like the convenience of a remote control. No more chains to pull (and always have to fix).

This fan is gorgeous!

This looks great, but it's super hard to get all the wires into the space provided, and it's completely made of plastic. And the motor is incredibly noisy. It hums so loudly I can hear it upstairs, above it. I'm pretty unhappy with it, especially since so many reviews said the motor is silent. And it is, until I turn it on.

I purposely ordered this size for my office but it looks a little too small (my fault). I did have to purchase a longer downrod at three lla local hardware store because the room has tall ceilings.I like having the remote and the fan is very quiet.
