good quality
Reasonably fine point to teh cutting tips, handles long enough to pull or cut nails with out undue exertion. I'll take a dozen of these to Cuba to provide to the farriers there. More info: see Cuba's Horses

Spend the extra money on a real pair
Don’t waste your time or money on these. I had to hold the geldings hoof; while my husband had to bare down on these just to put a notch in his hoof. Then cut same area again to finally clip it. Thankfully he’s a saint and stands wonderfully for us. These things are cheap China junk clearly. Reviews must be from people with dainty little horses. Not made for mustang feet at all. We ended up grabbing the trusty ole rusty nippers and cleaning them off and oiled them and works great. These; are being returned. I doubt they’d even cut bale wire at this point.

Hoof nippers
Purchased to clip off broken part of hoof in between farrier times. Good size and quality.

Work great for my pig
These trimmers work really well on my kune kune pig. They are sharp and precise. It’s easiest with two people because the angle is a little awkward, but I was able to use them on my own with a little more effort. Definitely recommend these.

It's just ok
From the reviews I was really excited to get this thinking I was getting an amazing quality nipper for a steal - they are ok. They don't compare to my more known brand nippers for sharpness but so far they aren't losing tension or getting notched- they just take more exertion to trim a piece of hoof. For the budget they are pretty good but don't think you are getting high end quality for cheap - but they are ok if you just need to touch up here and there for sure

Not great for horses
Got these to try to replace the pair we've had in the family for a long time, I think my grandfather's last horse passed in the late 90's. Unfortunately this pair didn't live up to our expectations, they worked ok on the minis but took a lot of extra work where we're used to a quick snip. Not even trying on full size, we added these to the pig trim bag as that's the only hoof they worked well on. They also came pretty scratched up for some reason (see photo)
