Hantek AC/DC Current Clamp for oscilloscope 40KHz Bandwidth 1mV/10mA 650A with BNC Plug (CC-650)

This amp clamp is not disappointing at a good price. I wasn't familiar with the Hantek brand until I bought their 1mV/10mA 650A amp clamp. Because of the quality experienced with this tool, I have since purchased other Hantek oscilloscope accessories. . The 1mV/10mA 650A readings are consistent and accurate. Its BNC connector make it compatible with scopes sporting the same connector. Personally, I am using it with a Pico and TopDon oscilloscope. Works perfectly. I have no hesitation recommending this amp clamp.

Not bad for the price. Same unit as any major tool brands sell as re-branded.

The differential probe is a silly good value for the money and for how it performs. Be careful, though. Open the package right away and verify the unit has not been opened or the cables not cable tied. My unit was clearly opened before I received it and missing some of the packing materials that would indicate it was new and not a return, it had loosely and carelessly wrapped probe cables placed inside the case without any effort or thought, the battery door showed signs it was opened more than once and without much touch and the probe was not clean and didn’t have plastic film anywhere like expected. The wait between my order and opening the package kept me from returning it for a new probe. That said, used or returned, clean or scuffed, it works very nicely on my 2 DSO’s and costs much less than a used differential probe for my Tektronix scope. Check the item and if it’s new it’s a good deal.

Good item the wire way too short for automotive purpose.

First time I went to use it, it didn't work. Of course the return window had closed. Had a cheap 9v battery connector. The prongs had to be squeezed to grip the battery. Still doesn't work. Going to have to open it to replace it i believe. Also, the button on the front sticks. Very cheap design. I would buy the pico brand.

I was a bit worried that the limited frequency response would be a problem but it worked well. Would be nice if it had a little more gain, so the scope could operate on higher input settings. I was monitoring 20A pulses on high voltage direct injectors at idle speed.

I tested this amp clamp on a known amp draw that was measured with the same DVOM inline. The amp draw was 280 mA and with the amp clamp, the reading was erratic and 100mA higher. I tried to zero out the clamp multiple times along with different positions and none proved to work. It is cheap but not even close.

These are affordable, and seem to work with reasonable accuracy, but I don't like them that much. No instructions. Having to change the nine volt battery is annoying.
