Very nice tool for clipping off stray weeds and grass. I love that I no longer have to bend over with a little pair of shears. It's not too awkward to store. The scissors are sharp and the handle is strudy. Great product.

Works great! So easy to use. Very lightweight, even my disabled wife can use it. We only have a small 20' x 6' patch of grass so this is great.

I chose this product because of the Friskas name and usual quality of their blades. I have been using the it for the past two months. Here’s what I found to give it 4 stars:Pros: long handle - it does save your back because you can remain standing as you cut grass and some weeds. I am only 5’ tall and it feels perfect for my height. If anyone is much taller than that you may have to slouch over a bit.Blade close lock button on top of handle - easy to lock blade close in the standing position.Cons: the strength of the blade is okay and not the strongest. It had some trouble cutting the thick zoysia grass and thicker weeds. I needed the long handle to cut easy to get to areas but still purchased the standard hand trimmers for the sensitive areas where the grass grew. I also have the Makita 18v cordless grass trimmer I occasionally use but bending over constantly led me to this product.The blade seems to be dulling a bit already which surprised me as I used it maybe 4 times. But it is holding up.Overall this is a good cutter and the long handle is a trade off of traditional grass cutters. It does save your back by not bending over for long periods. I gave it an overall 4 stars because of the actual cutter performance but back savings I would say 5 stars.I recommend this product.

Perfect clippers - very sharp & easy grip! I have arthritis in my hands and these glide so easily through the grass. I have several different style Friskars, and they are truly the best! I highly recommend.

I was looking for a maual way to to manage the grass that the lawn mower does not or can't catch because of location. I nwver knew there was something like this. I LOVE IT!!! So easy to go around and hit the needed spots. So sharp. And I had no idea when I made the purchase that the blade can be turned and it gives you multiple positions to set the blade depending on where you are cutting the grass. One of my best Spring purchases for caring for my lawn since I fired the people who were cutting my grass and the people who were treating my grass. If you want things done right - sometimes you have to just do it yourself!

Not as good as I expected. The blades are short. It trims grass ok. It's like a pair of scissors on a stick.

I have a strip of very delicate new grass I bought 2 of these, and a 1" diameter 6 ft 2024 aluminum tube and a 4mm steel rod, drilled out & removed the pop rivet from the upper trigger and the 2 from the shear end, measured a section for the pull actuating rod inside and extended it with a M4 thread coupling nut, die threaded the plain new rod for extending it, the trigger end has a barrel nut it just screws into also M4 thread, then put it back together and drilled holes for 5/32" rivets in the tube to secure the end mechanisms and now have a 6 ft version, only thing is it was a little difficult to know exactly how long to make the inside 4mm rod, I measured what I thought and then initially cut and threaded the 4mm extension rod an extra 1/2" longer than needed, then kind of measure once then cut 3 or 4 times to get it right so the blade lock functions and the blades also open all the way like before the modification. I use it in the horizontal position to reach out as far as possible while sitting down with my legs folded, eyeballing the grass height and hand 'mowing' my grass area that I don't want to walk on yet until it gets older. Works well with cutting shearing contact all along the length of the blades, a slight burr or wire edge from manufacturing I had to just lightly stone off to smoothen, but then works great, I recommend camellia oil for the blades as is used on hand plane irons, also spray some into where the blade pivots, or any other non toxic oil in case it contacts the grass at all. I also replaced the original tube on the other 3 ft one with an aluminum tube. The description says the tubes are aluminum, but they are not, they are steel. All in all very good tool, not many competitors around for this type of shears, always have found good quality from Fiskars products. Very satisfied. I would not really use it to cut anything thicker or tougher than grass blades, it's not really meant to trim shrubs in my opinion.

These work really well. They are very sharp and will cut very hard stems, like coneflower stems that have dried all winter. They also easily cut through a cluster of spiral or other grasses. These shears are back and knee savers and I highly recommend them.
