We have property that is off the grid and what I miss most when we go there is my oven. I needed an off grid oven that was light weight and easy to operate. All other ovens were heavy, bulky, expensive and required dedicated propane tanks. When the Omnia popped up as a recommendation, I was a little skeptical but the price and simplicity of the oven piqued my interest. Needless to say that giving this little beauty 5 stars is an understatement! I tried this at home before traveling to our property. I used a box cake mix as my test subject. The best by date had passed a few months ago so no loss if it wasn't successful. It was a delicious success. I used the silicone ring for the cake and my own silicone cupcake bakers for the batter left over. I followed the easy to read instructions and was very happy with the cake. This little oven can be used on ANY heat source with the exception of induction. Love this "oven" and am looking forward to putting it to daily use on the mountain!!

The Omnia oven is a fantastic addition to your camping/boondocking kitchen. You 'bake' in it just as you would with an oven--cookies, muffins, bundt cake, casseroles...the list goes on. Well worth the investment and I highly recommend it.

This is perfect for baking without an oven in my van! Food comes out yummy. Easy to store.

1. It's made out of aluminum. This will leach into your food.2. The silicone insert is also not safe to use above low temperatures. It, too, will leach into your food.3. Temperature control is almost impossible on this Omnia oven kit, requiring you to adjust the flame constantly.It would be awesome if this was made entirely out of stainless steel, or even stovetop safe glass. The idea is great. The materials used are not great. Of course, the FDA says that cooking on aluminum or silicone is fine (yeah right lol). And if you can't find answers beyond that, you get what you deserve.
