BambooMN 10.6" Hangiri Oke Sushi Rice Cooling Bowl/Tub, 1 Piece - Small

For the price, this Hangiri works perfect, soaking up unneeded liquids. It's not bamboo, BambooMN is the company name but glad it's not bamboo. I purchased a 15" bowl that was bamboo and it didn't soak up liquid at all. I would recommend this to anyone. (Sous Chef 25 years)

This item is NOT made of bamboo. Seller mentions Eco-friendly bamboo twice in the description of the product.....however....there is no bamboo in this product. The seller never specifically states this item is made of bamboo; however, mentioning Eco-friendly bamboo more than once in the description is misleading. The seller should remove all references to bamboo and specifically state the items material as Beechwood in the description. Material Type is left blank for some unknown reason in the comparison. FYI - the "copper" band around the edge is plastic. If you look at one of the compared products like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BPNATC/ref=psdc_367163011_t1_B01HN1MNOY this item's material type says Beechwood....yet the material type is left blank on the product page. Someone even answered a direct question about the material type indicating it was Bamboo. The item I received is not bamboo so if you don't mind using Beechwood, this item may work for you. I personally only use Bamboo products when making sushi for several reasons. Be an informed consumer.
