Food to Live - Organic Mango Cheeks, 1.5 Pounds Dried, Non-GMO, Kosher, Unsulphured, Unsweetened, Bulk

I think that the people who leave one star reviews just don't like this food. There's nothing WRONG with it. I LOVE this dried mango and never find anything I like nearly as much in stores. Everything else is too chewy and sweet. They ARE chewy and a bit tough and definitely kind of sour. Delicious!

They sold me a bag of brown, spoiled, dried mangoes!!Previously I have ordered organic dried mangoes by ‘Terrasoul Superfoods’, but recently they were out of stock.So I decided to give this brand, ‘Food to Live’ a try. Initially I ordered their 1.5 lb bag and the product was fresh, vibrant yellow/orange in color, and delicious. I liked it so much that I decided to re-order, and get the bigger, 3 lb bag! What I received was 3lbs of brown, spoiled, disgusting, fermented/old product. You charged me $40 for a 3 lb bag of inedible substance. And there is no return/refund..... Utterly unacceptable 🤬 I want a refund and/or exchange.

I got on the Food to Live (FTL) train a few months ago when I bought their organic dried figs. Then I bought their dried organic raisins. These mango slices are my latest purchase and, like all FTL dried fruits, are organic and easily rehydrated. Next I’ll be buying FTL‘s organic papaya slices. Organic fruits are not cheap no matter where one buys them, but to be able to buy them dried, one does not have to worry about spoilage. The texture and taste is very close to buying the fruit fresh. FTL offers a mind boggling variety of organic fruits.

As a lifelong (60 plus years) lover of dried mango, I can attest that this is pretty good quality.My only beef is that it’s under dehydrated.One expects a mix of sweet/ripe and not so sweet/unripe fruit in a single bag. I’ve ordered 3 bags so far and I find the mix to be just the same as any other source I ever purchase from.My only gripe is that it’s less dehydrated than similar products. The result is that less ripe fruit is sour and leathery, and ripe fruit is sticky and gooey. I believe this is the source of those negative reviews that say the product is inedible. When insufficiently dehydrated, less ripened fruit is indeed unpleasantly tough and sour.I usually dry this product from a further 4 to 6 hours in my own dehydrator. The ripe fruit becomes crystallized and delicious. Less ripe fruit turns crisp instead of leathery and becomes much sweeter, although I don’t understand why exactly.Other than the dehydration issue, I really enjoy this mango product.

Wanted JUST organic mango...nothing added. I love these... maybe a little too much! 😊 (I have to be careful not to eat too many at once.) Delicious! 🥭

I had a craving for dried fruit and decided to grab a bag from this brand to try for the first time. The bag I received was nothing like the pictures; the mango cheeks I had gotten looked very dark in colour (almost as if the fruit was rotting and not so fresh when dehydrated) Not only did they look bad, they tasted tough and stale to me. Needless to say this was not the taste and texture I’m accustomed to having in dried mango. I do not recommend it and won’t be buying it again considering it’s poor quality.

Mango was darker in color not very appealing or tasty. Bought from them for years. Getting too big and going downhill fast based on my last few purchases.

Superior Quality, Great Flavor. The mangoes are chewy and very satisfying as a snack, plus an interesting addition for plate presentation.
