Agate Burnisher, Straight, 8-1/2 Inches | BRN-620.05

Looks good, but arrived broken. Delicate top needs to be better protected in packaging.

I am an artist currently working on an illuminated manuscript. I was looking for a good inexpensive burnisher for the nearly two hundred pages that are in need of gold leaf. This tool was the least expensive one I could find, and proved to be the perfect tool for my project. Delivery was very fast too- the item arrived two days before the promised date. Good product, great vendor!

The tool works but because it is flat more care is needed so uou don't ruin your work. It really needs a curved agate. But it still works.

Never knew what a burnisher was until I began restoring bamboo rods and had to rub a burnisher over the silk thread one wrapped around line guides to make them more compact and eliminate gaps. I heard or read that an agate burnisher worked better than a plastic one. I don't know who to thank for that word of advice, but it's true and this agate burnisher is a great improvement over the plastic one I was using.

I purchased this burnisher because I already have the steel curved one & I was told by several jewelry artists that this burnisher is a must have and boy they were right! This is a high quality product that does exactly what it is supposed to do! The shine I achieved on my sterling silver designs was amazing and you can't find a better price for the quality! I also love the bamboo handle, very well made!

Good tool to help burnish metal gently against stone. The agate tip doesn't seem to scratch or damage stone, so I like this tool.
