It did not work on my Janine MC 9400. I had to return it. I cannot help with the 9850

Q: Will this foot work on Janome MC6700p?

Yes, this should fit with no problem -- the Janome 6700 is 9mm compatible and I have a accufeed dual feed holder and foot for my machine. I would not hesitate to get this foot for this machine.

Q: can this foot be used on the 8900?

I bought this foot with the understanding that it could be used with the 8900 accufeed system which is the same system on the horizon 1200 and 1500. In fact when I bought this narrow attachment it was included with those top of the line models.But I have yet to get it on the machine without the hook slipping out as its sewing. Dealer says I'm attaching it wrong, but I attach the wide feed right so.....Actually, I'm beginning to have my doubts about this feeding system.
