Recommend highly for regular travelers and rough service applications.
So far, it's great. Only had it on for about a week but it has proven to be well made and durable thus far. I used to use less expensive (and less durable) Speck clam shells and wanted something more substantial because I travel a good bit. This product obviously provides that and more superior protection with a negligible weight difference. I am really liking the snap closure and the fact that my MacBook Pro stays closed in my backpack and other places that I store and transport. I often slide the MacBook in my backpack or tool crate with other devices, tools and miscellaneous everyday cary items which has resulted in a scratched screen on an older MacBook. No more worries there....There is a small design issue with the case that is easily fixed. I had to modify the case with a Dremel tool on arrival to accommodate standard USB-C plugs on the right front port. Be prepared to do the same on both sides if you use anything larger than a vanilla USB-C cord from Apple. The mod is easy and painless if you have the tools and take your time. I used a 1/8 straight burr on low speed to carefully extend the existing cut out to the marks I made with a fine point Sharpie. I used a small grinding stone to smooth the rough edges. Honestly, it took more time to gather tools than to make the changes. 10 minutes tops. Please note that I had to remove the case (twice) to make the modifications. Disregard any reports of breaking your screen removing the case ***IF*** you take the time to view the documentation and videos on the UAG website. The only way you can break your screen is to NOT watch the videos and just blindly (and stupidly) try to "hulk it off". Removal requires finesse, not strength.I have not and will not intentionally drop test it but will update as necessary if that ever happens. :)As I'm sure some of you are, I was very tentative about this purchase considering the price point. Overall, I'm very happy and find this to be a premium case that provides premium protection worthy of the premium price. $80 to protect a $2k device like this is a small price to pay.

Good looking case. Great protection.
I bought a UAG case for my MacBook several years ago. When I upgraded, I gave my old gear to my daughter and bought a new case for my new MacBook. I just helped my Mom order a MacBook, and the first thing we ordered after she got it was a UAG case.I believe this is the best case on the market. Easy to install (can be a challenge to remove if you want to take your MacBook out to clean or service it, but looking at UAG's YouTube instructions on removal was very helpful). The case doesn't add a lot of weight or bulk, it protects well, and I love the way the lid locks and latches when you close it.All in all, I think this is the best laptop case out there. I don't think you can go wrong with this one.

Toughest MacBook Pro Case on the Market
This is an excellent case, it fits my 2017 MBP perfectly. It's on there so tight that I'm concerned about how hard it will be to take it off... That's the cost of premium protection I suppose. Looks great, feels great, adds some bulk but very little weight. The closure tabs take some getting used to, but it holds the computer closed very solidly. As a student it's nice to be able to toss my computer into my backpack and not worry about it at all, even while riding my bike to class. I know that if there were to be an accident, as long as my computer's dry I'll be pretty well covered.I'm happy with my purchase so far (as of 6/19/2017), but I'll post a follow up review in a few months and say how the case has held up to daily use.

If you're thinking safety for you computer, look no further!
I was looking for a case that would protect the incredibly expensive computer inside it. After a lot of research and reviews, I landed on this case. I absolutely love it. It is challenging to remove - but that is just a reflection of how secure it is. I am far less concerned if someone walks by my desk and slides my computer off by accident. It still keeps my computer relatively thin and sleek. While not the most "beautiful" laptop case, it definitely is eye-catching. I've had a lot of people come up to me and ask me about it as it clearly reflects the function of "protection". One of my favorite features is that it snaps shut reflecting it won't accidentally crack open in my backpack etc. There are vents on the bottom, even though my MacBook vents from the hinge, which helps reduce my fears about the computer overheating. Finally, there are little button feet on the bottom that are well made and rise my computer off the table just a few mm which I personally like. An all around well made, functional case!

Great Case With A Few Minor Errors
Best Case for a laptop so far. It stays closed when dropped, it protects it from scratches, maybe dents? (Yes to not getting dents in corners but top or bottom you will get them). Why this got 4 stars, if you put this case on do not expect to get it off with ease, it is a very tough case to get off, you might break your laptop. Other one is if you buy the double usb c adapter to get more ports, it wont work with this case. The closes port to the case you will have to use apple adapters no third party adapters are thin enough to use with the case. So you have two useable ports with third party the other two will have to be apple adapters only ones thin enough.
