50lb is quite thick & tricky to tie
I am very impressed. I was hoping for 30lb, but it was out of stock. I ended up with the 50lb for our trip to Cuba. I used this as a 12-15' leader with an FG knot fastening it to 30lb braid. The leader survived a couple run-ins with toothy critters and some scraping on lava rock. Whenever it got a little too scraped up, I just cut it above the wear and then re-tied it. Knots are tricky with the 50lb, so you are limited to some basic knots that may be slightly weaker. I can't wait to try the lighter test. I am still confused as to why the "salmon" leader is so much cheaper than their normal leader.
